Prompted by the glory of lord delusive potency, the characteristics of all the four yugas [ages] manifest themselves in everyone’s heart every day.

The presence of harmony pure satya among all the three modes of sat [light of wisdom], raj [sensuality to have the felling of being] and tam [dark of illusion] attachment to action .

Evenness of mind, spiritual insight, the feeling of vivacity in the heart is the effects of satya Yug [age].

Abundance of sattava with the slight admixture of rajas, attachment to actions, happiness of all kinds, is the feature of treata Yug [age].

Much of the raj little of the sat is the feature of dwaper Yug [age].

A large potion of tam with a slight effect of raj is the feature of kali Yug [age], antagonism every where are the effects of kali age. The wise discern the characteristic of the different ages in their mind and forswearing uprightness devotes themselves to piety.

The characteristic of the time spirit have no effects on to him who is excessively fond of lord’s feet.

Under the peepul tree he practices mediation; he perform sacrifice in the form of jup [muttering of prayer] under the plaksa; in the shadow of mango tree he offer mental worship to lord; under the banyan tree he narrates marvelous exploits of lord.
