motive of Sri Rama's descent

Jai sri Ram,
Killing the demons he reinstates the gods, preserves the bounds of propriety fixed by Vedas, which represents his own breath and defuses his immaculate glory throughout the world,

This is  the motive of Sri Rama's descent,

Singing the glory the devotees cross the ocean of mundane existence,

It is for the sake of devotees that compassionate Lord bodied himself forth-the motives of sri Rama's birth are many each more wonderful than the other

Listen O Girija, the Vedas and the Tanta have sung numerous charming and sinless exploits of Sri Hari's descent cannot be precisely stated,

Listen of Noble Lady, sri Rama is beyond the grasp of intellect, mind and speech-such is my conviction,

Yet i tell you the reason as i understand it and even saints and sages, Vedas and puranas have stated according to their light,

Whenever virtues decline and vile and haughty demons multiply and works uniquity that cannot be told, whenever Brahmans, cow, gods and Earth itself are in trouble-the gracious Lord assumes various transcendent forms and relieves the distress of the virtues,

The virtues, names and stories and forms of Sri Hari are all unlimited, innumerable and immeasurable, yet i proceeded to tell them according to the best of intellectual capacity, listen with reverence,

I greet Goddess Saraswati, the giver of wisdom for the cause,

I bow to the lotus feet of lord Sri Hari Vishnu, the ocean of mercy whose words are sunbeams as it were for dispersing the mass of darkness in the form of gross ignorance,

I bow to Devi Sita and her beloved  consort sri Rama who is responsible for creation, sustenance and dissolution of this universe, removes afflictions and begets all blessings,

I greet sri Hanuman, the son of wind god, an embodiment of wisdom, who is fire as it were for the forest of the wicked and and in the abode of whose heart resides Sr Rama,

When Devi Parvati heard illuminating words of Lord Shiva, the whole structure of her sophistry collapsed,

Attachments and devotion to the feet of Rama sprang in heart and her shocking incredulity disappeared,

Clasping to the lotus feet of her Lord again with joined palm she spoke words in the form of divine nectar that nectar of love

You have removed all my doubts, O gracious Lord the reality of Rama has been revealed to me, by your grace, my gloom has been lifted and i feel happy now, now regarding me as your slave, please answer my former question-if you pleased with me,why did he take the form of a human being,

Yes it is true that while those who devotedly remember Sri Rama are able to cross the ocean of mundane existence,

Sri Rama is none other than supreme spirit,

Doubt unto the truth of his existence and truth is wholly unwarranted,

The moment when a man harbour such a doubt in mind, his wisdom dispassion and all other virtues bid adieu to him,

He who is thus extolled by Vedas and men of wisdom and whom the sages love to contemplate is none other than Sri Rama-Divine Rama,

When i behold any creature dying in the holy Kashi, it is power of his name that i rid of all sorrows,

He is my Lord-the sovereign of all creation, animate and inanimate, the witness of all hearts,

If men repeat his name even in a helpless state, sins committed by them in a series of even previous existences are burnt away,

He enjoys all taste without Palate

He is most cleaver speaker though devoid of speech,

He touches all odours even without a nose-indeed his ways are thus supernatural in every respect and his glory is beyond description,
