It is the favorite resort of Shiva, extolled by Vedas-once upon a time the Lord betook himself beneath the tree and was much gladdened at heart to see it,

Spreading his asana on the ground with his own hand-the all-merciful Shiva sat down casually,

His body fair in the hue as the jasmine, the Moon and conch shell; arms of ordinate length-a hermits covering, consisting the barks of trees-wrapped round his loins,

His feet resembling a pair of full-blown red lotus and their toe nail shedding a luster which dispelled the darkness of devotee's heart,
