Ravana Said, O fool, your master has made a bridge of his pride with the help of monkeys whereas might of arm is an infinite ocean without a bride,

What greatness lies in crossing a small part of ocean i have won over the eight quarters of this universe is not known to you,

Why your master send ambassador to me, is he not ashamed to make terms with his enemy, look at arms if you can, which has lifted and violently shook mount kailash, then, foolish monkey, extol your master, if you can,

How can you are man of dignity when your pride melt away with the name of Parashurama,

How can Sri Rama be a mortal, You arrogant fool, is the god of love a mere archer, is the ganga is mere a Stream, is the cow of plenty is mere a beast, is tree of paradise is mere a tree, is gift of food is just a gift, is nectar is just a drink, is garuda a mere bird, is Sheshnag is mere a serpent, is wish yielding gem is mere a stone,

O dullard: is Vaikuntha an ordinary sphere and unflinching devotion to the lord Rama an ordinary gain, is Sri Hanuman a monkey, who got off unhurt after trampling your pride as well as that of your army, laying your waist your gardens, setting your capital on fire and slaying your own son, O Ravana-giving up your hypocrisy, why not you adore all merciful Lord Rama,

Whose fierce tusk, whenever i impetuously grappled with them, fail to make any impression on it,and snapped off like radishes the moment they struck against it,

Even as i walk, the earth shakes like a small boat when a mad elephant steps into it,

I am the same Ravana, known for the might all over the world, did you never hear of him, you lying plattler, you belittle that Ravana and extol a mortal man-barbarous monkey, o puny wretch, i have know fathomed your wisdom,

Yes I am the same Ravana whose valour is known to even Mahadev,

I am the same Ravana who has offered his head 10 times as flower in the lotus feet of Lord Shiva,

The prowess of my arms is well known to the guardians of the eight quarters, whose heart, you fool, still smarts under injuries inflicted by them,

Angada asked Ravana, Tell me Ravana, how many Ravanas are therein the world,

I have heard one went to the nether world to conquer Bali and was tied up in the stable by the children, who made sport of him till bali took compassion on him and him released,

Another again was discovered by King Sahastrabahu, who run and capture him as a strange creature and brought him home for the sake of fun, the sage pulast then went and secured his release,

Yet another, i am much ashamed to tell you, was held tight under Vali's arm, be not angry, ravna, but tell me the truth, which of these may you be?

Make friends or enter into hostilities only with your equals, this is a sound maxim to follow,

If a lion were to kill a frog, will anyone speak well of him, though it will be detogratery on part of Lord Rama to kill you and he will incur great blame thereby, yet, mark me, Ravana, the fury of kshatriya race is hard to face,

Ravana responded angada in anguish at heart that a monkey possesses one great feature, it does everything in its reach to serve his master,
