BURNT HER BODY WITH THE FIRE OF YOGA

Jai Sri Ram,
Devi Sati said that wherever you hear a saint, Shiva and Vishnu vilified, the rule is that it it lies within your power you should tear out of the tongue of reviler or you should run away closing your eyes,

The slayer of demon Tripura, the great Lord Shiva is universal spirit, he is father of the universe and is beneficial to all,

it is him that my father vilified  and this body of mine has sprung from the lions of Daksha,

Therefore, installing in my heart my Loving Lord Shiva, who bears the Moon  on his forehead and a bull as his emblem, i shall immediately quit this body-AS SHE SPOKE THUS SHE BURNT HER BODY WITH THE FIRE OF YOGA

Reap fruits of your sin

Jai sri Ram,
Sri Devi Sati was furious beyond measure on assault by her own family members but Mother tried to pacify her in many ways,

She was the most loving daughter of her mother,

The insult to Shiva was something unbearable; her heart could not therefore, be pacified,

Then she sharply reproaching the whole assembly, she spoke in angry accents that hear you elders of the assembly and the great sages, all of you who have reviled Shiva or heard him reviled must forthwith reap fruit of your sin and my father too shall fully repent,

Humiliation through one's own people

Jai Sri Ram,
There Devi Sati realize the truth of guidance as indicated by Lord Shiva,

She realize the force of warning by Lord Shiva,

The former grief she had been suffering from, was of no existence in front of this might grieve she was burning in,

She felt this humiliation as result of his disobedience to her loving consort, though there are infinite agonies which pains the spirit beyond measure but none is like that humiliation through one's own people,

Only Mother meets her with grace

Jai Sri Ram,
When Devi Sati reached there, no one greeted her except Mother,

It was fear for all from her father that no one dare to greet her,

Only mother of Devi sati warmly welcome her loving daughter who meet her very kindly,

Her sisters meet her with profuse smiles, his father never even esquire about any thing as welcome note and she no where find lace of her consort in that yagna which makes her heart burnt like anything,

Lord expostulated

Jai Sri Ram,
Lord Shiva expostulated with sati in so many forms, but as fate had willed it wisdom would not dawn on her,

The Lord repeated once more that if she went to her father's place univited, he anticipate no good results from,

Heaving reasoned with her in ways more than one but when Lord Shiva percived that the sati was not going to stay

Lord attached few of his principal attendents as her escort and sent her to her fathers Yagna

Has not invite us

Jai sri Ram,
Lord Shiva replied that your suggestion is good but the anomaly is that your father has not invite us,

He feel enemy with me for a reason, he has invited all other daughters but you because of me,

You have been ignored because once in the court of Brahma, he took offence of my behavior,

If you go there uninvited, all decorum, affection and honor will be ruined, indeed no doubt one may visit his parents and master even without formal invitation yet where someone nurse a grudge, is not fair to go there,

At last she spoke

Jai sri Ram,
When Sati inquired about the stir in the air, Lord Shiva explained the whole thing,

She was delighted to hear the news of sacred sacrifice commenced by her father and thought of making excuse for staying a few days with her father in case Lord granted some her leave,

Repudiation by her lord tormented her heart not a little; but conscious of her guilt she would not utter a world,

At last she spoke in charming words tinged with awe, misgiving and affection, there is great festival at my father's house, O lord-if you grant me leave i would fain go and see it, O storehouse of compassion,

Sacrifice

Jai Sri Ram,
Daksa Got together all the sages and they began to perform a big sacrifice,

All the gods who attain a share of the oblations offered at a sacrifice were cordially invited to attend,

 Kinnaras, Nagas, siddas and Gandharvas and the whole host of gods proceeded to the sacrifice along with their wives,

All the gods except Lord Sri Hari Vishnu set out on their areal cars, Sati beheld beautiful aerial cars of various patters coursing through the air, celestial damsels were singing melodies strains which intruded over the ear of ascetics and broke their meditation,
