FEAR NOT

Jai Sri Ram,
Knowing that the gods and earth were terror stricken and hearing their loving entreaties, a deep voice came from heaven, which removed all their doubts and anxiety,

FEAR NOT_O SAGES,  SIDDHAS AND INDRA_____FOR YOUR SAKE I WILL ASSUME THE FORM OF A HUMAN BEING ALONG WITH PART OF MY MANIFESTATIONS,sage kashyap and his wife ADITI dis severe penance; to them i have already vouchsafed a boon,

They have appered in the form of Dasarath and Kaushalya as a ruler of Ayodhya, in thei house i shall take birth in the form of four brothers-the ornament of Raghu line, i shall justify all that was uttered by Sage NARADA and shall descend with my supreme energy,

In this way i shall relieve Earth of its burden; be fearless-O gods, as the divine voice reached the god's ears they returned forth with their heart soothed, then Brahma admonished Earth, who was rid of all the fears and felt reassured in her heart,

Jai sri Ram,
Brahma was glad at heart to hear the words, his hair bristled and tears flowed from eyes-recovering himself, the stable minded Brahma joined his palms and prayed,

Glory, all glory to you, O lord of immortals, O delight of devotees, O Protector of the suppliant, O benefactor of Cows and the Brahmanas, O slayer of demons, O beloved consort of Laxmi, O guardian of gods and the earth-mysterious are your ways  and their secret is known to none--Let him who is benevolent by nature and compassionate to the humble show grace,


Glory, all glory to the immortal lord, who resides in all hearts, supreme bliss personified, who is omnipresent, unknowable and super sensuous, whose acts are holy and who is beyond the veils of Maya, Glory to whom who is truth, consciousness and bliss combined, who is most lovingly meditated upon the day and night and whose praise are sung by multitudes of sages who are full of dispassion and free from infatuation,

Glory to You, O lord, who disperse the fear of transmigration, delights the mind of sages, who serves as mount Mandara for churning the ocean of worldly existence, who is charming in every, who is an abode of virtues and embodiment of bliss,

REVEALED ONLY BY LOVE

Jai sri Ram,
The gods, sages and celestial songsters, all repaired to Brahma's abode, with them was poor Earth in the form of a cow grievously stricken with fear and grief,

Brahma came to know everything and realizing in his heart his inability to help her said, the immortal lord whose servants you are will be my help as well as yours,

Have patience, Earth, said Brahma, fix your mind on the feet of Sri Hari Vishnu, the lord know the distress of his servants and will put an end to your terrible suffering,

All the gods sat in counsel, where can we find the Lord, so that we may appeal to him-some suggested that they should go to Viakunha, another said, his abode is in the ocean of milk, the lord always manifest himself in response to the devotion and love one cherished in one's heart, Lord Shiva too happened to be in that assembly and took occasion to put in a word--for aught I KNOW SRI HARI IS PRESENT EVERYWHERE ALIKE AND IS REVEALED ONLY BY LOVE___TELL ME THE PLACE< TIME OR QUARTER OF HEAVEN WHERE THE LORD IS NOT____HE IS YET A DESTITUTE OF EVERYTHING AND PASSIONLESS; HE IS REVEALED BY LOVE EVEN AS FIRE IS MANIFESTED BY FRICTION,

who coveted others wealth and wife

Jai sri Ram,
The ocean surrounded it on all sides a very deep mount, it had a strong fortification wall build of gold and jewels,

Great demons warriors had been living there -Ravana surveyed the whole city-pleased to see it, on one occasion he led an expedition against kubera and carried away his areal car, in a supportive mood he went and lifted mount kailash-his happiness and glory grew from more to more everyday,

Taking form of will demons skilled in all forms of demoniac Maya, never thought of piety or compassion even in dream, Son of Ravana known in the name of Meganada conquer the battles in chains,

By his mighty arm he subdued the whole universe and and left no one independent, Ravana ruled according to his won will, he restricted devotion to lord Vishnu, no secrificial performances, no austerity and no spiritual wisdom, the terrible outrages the demons did beggar description, there is no limit to the evil-doings of those who hold violence most dear to their heart, the number of villains, theifs and gamblers and those who coveted others wealth and wife swelled to a great extend, Earth visualizing this situation bear a form of a cow with tears in her eyes  went to the spot where all gods were, but none of them could be of any help to her,

MANDODARY- a precious jewel of womankind,

Jai Sri Ram
King's sons and servants born a fierce demon crew, they were all wicked and torment to all creation beyond words-though they were born in  the incomparably pure and holy line of sage Pulastya, yet on account of Brahmanas curse they were embodiment of sin,

 All the three brothers practice tough penance that terrible beyond description-creator drew nigh and said Ravana dear son ask Boon-he clasped the lotus feet and said listen O Lord, my prayer is that i should die at the hands of none save monkeys and man-----So be it-granted,

The creator then approached Kunbhakarna, astonished to see his gigantic form, directed Devi Saraswati who changed his mind and demon asked for continuous sleep, extending over six months,

The creator went up to Vibhishan and said-ask a boon, my son----HE ASKED FOR PURE LOVE FOR THE LOTUS FEET OF LORD,-heaving granted them boons Brahma went away, while they returned to their home rejoicing, Demon Maiy had a exceedingly beautiful daughter MANDODARY- a precious jewel of womankind, he brought and made her merry to Ravana, Ravana become the lord of demons, delighted to having obtained such a good wife-next he went and married his tow brothers-on a three peaked mountain called Trikuta in the middle of ocean there stood a very large fortress build by Brahma himself, Demon Maiy who by nature was a great architect renovated it that housed numberless palaces of gold and jewels was as beautiful as anything in the universe, it was known throughout the world in the name of LANKA,

BRAHMAN CURSE CAN NEVER FAIL

Jai sri Ram,
So saying, all the Brahamanas dispersed,when the people received this news, were much perturbed and began to blame providence,

The wretch mimic dispatched the latters in all directions and a host of princes hastened with their troops martially arrayed and everyday battle  were fought in diverse form, all his champions falls, king and his brother bit the dust, not one from the family of Satyaketu survived, BRAHMAN CURSE CAN NEVER FAIL

Listen-Whosoever incur the displeasure of heaven, for him a grain of dust becomes vast as mount, father becomes frightful as death god and every rope a snake,

With Due time, THIS KING WITH HIS FAMILY BORN AS A DEMON_HIS NAME WAS RAVANA_FORMIDABLE HERO, his younger brother Arimardan become limit of power Kumbhakaran, his Minister become his half brother Vibhishan by name----DEVOTEE OF LORD VISHNU AND A REPOSITORY OF WISDOM,

A BRAHMAN'S CURSE IS VERY TERRIBLE

Jai sri Ram,
The priest cooked four kind of foods with six different taste as mentioned in the Vedas, he prepared an illusory banquet and a variety of seasoned dishes more than one could count, dressing the flesh of variety of animals the wrench mixed with it the cooked flesh of Brahmanas, all the invited Brahmans were then called for the dinner-their feet were respectfully washed and shown their places,

The moment when King began to serve the food a factious voice from heaven as raised by demon Kaalketu himself said---Up---Up Brahmans, return to your homes, taste not this food-----it is most harmful----the dishes include the flash of brahmanas----------Up rose all the Brahmanas believing the ethereal voice, the King lost his nerve, his mind was bewildered with infatuation-,-as the fate would have it-----he could not utter a word,

Then exclaimed the brahmanas in wrath, regardless of consequences----O Foolish king, GO AND TAKE BIRTH IN THE DEMON"S FORM- YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, O vile ksatriya---Inviting Brahmanas you were out to ruin them with their families-but God has preserved our sanctity-it is you and your race that are undone_IN A COURSE OF A YEAR YOU SHALL PERISH AND NOT A SOUL SHALL BE LEFT IN TOUR FAMILY TO OFFER WATER TO GRATIFY YOUR SPIRIT,

Hearing the curse the king was sore stricken with fear, again a voice was heart from heaven, O HOLY BRAHMANAS YOU HAVE UTTERED THIS CURSE WITHOUT CARING THOGHT-king has commit no Crime-the Brahmanas were astounded when they heard the ethereal voice, the king hasten to the kitchen, there was neither any food nor the Brahmanas cook, the king returned in deep thought, he related the whole story to the Brahmanas and threw himself on the ground frantic with fear------EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE GUILELESS- O KING- WHAT IS INEVITABLE FAILS NOT_A BRAHMAN'S CURSE IS VERY TERRIBLE- NO AMOUNT OF EFFORT CAN COUNTERACT IT

miracle to the supernatural power

Jai Sri Ram,
A spirited foe, even though left alone, should not be light regarded, the demon rahu-who was nothing left of him but his head, is able to torment both the Sun and the Moon even this day,

The hermit-king delighted to see his ally and rose to meet him-meeting gave him much satisfaction and related the whole story to his friend, demon too was glad and said Listen O King-since you have followed my advice-take the enemy have subdued, cease to worry now and laid to rest,

In an instant he conveyed Pratap Bhanu to his Palace, horse and all, again he carried the kings family priest, depriving of his senses by his supernatural power-kept him in a mountain cave, Himself assuming the form of family priest, demon went and lay down on the former's sumptuous bed, The king woke up even before the day break and felt much astonished to find himself at home,

Attributing the miracle to the supernatural power of the sage, he got up quietly, unperceived by the queen, Mounting the same house he rode off to the woods without any man or woman of the city knowing it, when it was midday the king returns, there was rejoicing and festal music in every house, when king saw family priest, he looked at him in amazement, the interval of three days hung heavy on the monarch as an age, his being set on the feet of the false anchorite-at the appropriate time the priest came and remind him in detail of all that had been agreed upon, the king was delighted to recognize his preceptor, his mind was too clouded to have any sense left, AT ONCE HE INVITED A HUNDRED CHOSEN BRAHMANAS WITH THEIR FAMILY,
