Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye

Jai Sri Ram,
Both Manu and Satrupa devoted self the sacred verse of 12 pearls of wisdom that_

Om Namo Bhagvate Vasudevaye 

They repeatedly chanted the truth in the verse to make to reach at,

Their mind was fondly devoted to the lotus feet of lord Sri Hari Vishnu-the all pervading truth,

in the assembly of saints,

Jai Sri Ram,
Manu and Satrupa, on reaching the bank of Gomati, they bathed with delight in the limpid stream,

Adepts and enlightened Sages came to see him, recognizing in the royal sage a champion of virtue,

The sages reverently took them to all holy and lovely spots that were scattered here and there,

With emaciated bodies and clad in hermits robes they daily listened to the Puranas in the assembly of saints,

Jai sri Ram,
Manu then perforce resigned the throne to his son and departed for the forest with his wife,

Pre-eminent of all holy places is the celebrated Naimisaranya, which is taken most sacred and bestows success on those striving for realization,

Multitudes of sages and adepts lived there, glad of heart Manu proceeded to that place,

Passing along the road, the king and the queen of resolute mind looked like incarnation of spiritual wisdom and devotion respectively,

Once Manu realized

Jai sri Ram,
Manu ruled for a long period and followed the Lord's commandments in the form of the scriptural ordinance all the way,

Once Manu realized unto the age and said to self that i have reached the forth quarter of life while i am still living under the roof of household affairs,

But i have not yet lost my relish for the pleasure of senses,

He felt sore distressed at heart that his life had been wasted without devotion to Sri Hari,

Swayambhu Manu

Jai Sri Ram,
Lord began to relate the cause of the Rama's descent on the particular occasion,

The story of sri Rama wipes out all the impurities of the kali age, brings forth all blessings and is most charming,

The creator divided himself into two halves, one which was a male and other female, male known as Swayambhu Manu and female as Satrupa, born in human race-peerless in God realization,

The piety and conduct of them were excellent that standard of morality set up them by them-their son was king Utthanpada who begot the celebrated devotee of Sri Vishnu, Younger son was Priyavrat was too devotee of Lord Vishnu, and daughter too named Devhuti, who was consort of sage Kardama, who bore in her womb the all powerful and benevolent Lord Kapila-the primal divinity-limit of compassion and humble by nature who expounded the philosophy of Sakhaya,

in the garb of hermits

Jai Sri Ram,
There is no god, man or sage whom Sri Hari's powerful Maya cannot infatuate,

Hearing this in mind, one should adore the Lord of great Maya,

Hear-O daughter of the mountain king, another reason why unbegotten, unqualified and formless become king of Ayodhya,

I shall relate at length the marvellous story connected with it, the Lord you saw roaming in the forest with his brother laxman in the garb of hermits, whose doing drove you mad in the form of Sati-the supportive deeds that were performed by the lord in that birth,

Infinite is Sri Hari and Infinite are his glories

Each saint sings and hears them in divergent ways,

The lovely sports of Sri Ramachandra cannot be sung even in crores of Kalpas

This Episode has been narrated in order to show the even enlightened sages are deluded by Maya of Sri Hari Vishnu-Lord is supportive and friend of the suppliant-he is easy to serve and rids one of all sorrows,
