The queen-mothers

Offering water to them as a mark of respect and spreading carpets along the way,

There were four exquisitely beautiful thrones, which had been fashioned by cupids with his own hands as it were;

The queen-mothers seated the brides and bridegrooms on them and reverently laved their holy feet,

They then worshipped the blessed couples in accordance with the Vedic ritual by offering them incense, light and oblations,

It is most awaited great day of sacred Magh that Sri sri Basant Panchami-the appearance day of Mother Saraswati, indeed a day to revere the lotus feet of mother-to revere mother it needs simplicity and sanctity at its most, Manasa puja too may help the man to adore the truth of Sri Basant Panchami,

Mother Saraswati that Elegant stream of compassion-truth of divine light and pristine source of spirituality, Mother that non-existent for ignorants and ever existent that along with for devotees,

Mother Saraswati is caring beyond words, is helping truth for man and a tangible support to cross the ocean of mundane existence, Mother is a deity that resides within the temple of fair heart, is a celestial patroness for man,  

Today it is a day to revere the lotus feet of Mother with all faith and submission, is a day to celebrate in divine spirit by performing suitable oblation that to reach at the truth alone, most favourable day to perform charity-indeed to recall the glory of mother through varying available means, Obeisance to you Mother-Revere your lotus feet on the occasion,

Oblations in the form of study materials, yellow decorated clothes, dry fruits along with seasonal sweets is offered with recitation of define verses in glory of Mother,

Indeed curd, butter, butter oil, honey, saffron and turmeric is to offered along with yellow prepared sweet rice, lighted lamps are offered, special Charnamrit is offered that without holy basil, in Both Pradosh Kaal Puja is performed to mark the truth of self in the lotus feet of Mother,

A festival to adore the lotus feet of Mother Saraswati, once a great Sage Yajnavalkya  lost his sense of recollection under the curse of his preceptor, he worshipped Surya, Surya preached him Saraswati Strotra, by recitation and meditation unto lotus feet of mother he regain his lost skill,

When Great Sage Balmiki was unable to answer Sage Vyasa's searching questions about Puranas, he p[rayed mother Saraswati and got enlighten by her grace,

Worshipped deity for Dev Guru Brahaspatacharya and Rahu is goddess Saraswati, Obeisance to Mother-revere your lotus feet again and again on the occasion,

The Queen mothers companions, as they gazed on Sita's countenance over and over again, sang and extolled their good fortune,

Moment after moment the gods rained down flowers, danced and sang and offered homage,

After performing rights prescribed by the Vedas or family usage the queen mother waved lights over all the princes and their brides and conducted them to the Palace,
