Lord Rama is extremely compassionate by nature

श्री हनुमान चालीसा, 

Jai Sri Ram,

Laxman immediately summoned the citizens and the Brahmans and in their presence crowned Sugreeva as king and installed Angad as crown prince,

While narrating the past times of Lord Rama, Shiva said to Devi Uma, Uma there is no such friend as Sri Rama in this world, neither preceptor nor father nor mother nor brother nor master,

Gods, men and sages all as a rule have some selfish motive behind their love,

The same Sugreeva who trembled day and night in fear of Vali whose breast ever burnt with the fire of anxiety was made king by Lord Rama; Lord Rama is extremely compassionate by nature and habitual of helping devotees and followers even out of proportion,

Sri Rama Sent away Vali to his own abode

श्री हनुमान चालीसा, 

Jai Sri Ram,

Vali now totally immersed in love of Lord Rama and his intensified devotion to the lotus feet of Lord Rama makes him smile eternally in love with even while when he dropped his body even without effort even as an elephant little knows the falling of wrath of flowers from his neck,

Vali has submit his self in the lotus feet of lord once for all that called death in the language of mundane existence,

Sri Rama Sent away Vali to his own abode, all the people of the city ran in dismay, with miserable and sad frame Tara the wife of Vali wailed in many ways, Sri Rama was distressed to see her distress and imparted wisdom that dispelled her delusion-Made up of the five elements earth , water fire ether and air this body is extremely vile-the mortal frame lies, buried in eternal sleep before your eyes, while the soul is ever lasting-for who then you lament, as the light dawned on her she embraced the lotus feet of Lord Rama and asked him the boon of supreme devotion, sri rama awards so and asked Sugreeva to perform the last right with due ceremony and next lord instruct Laxman to crowned Sugreeva as king and Angad as crown prince,

Jai Sri Ram,

Vali said, Listen O ocean of Mercy, sages continue to make it during successive birth yet at the last moment they fail to utter the name Rama,

Name Rama, the name on the strength of which lord Shiva bestows immortality,

And for my gracious lord himself has appeared in a visible form in front of my eyes-shall I ever he such a golden opportunity again,

He has appeared before my eyes whose praise the Vedas even fail to sing truly and whom sages are secretly able to perceive in their meditation even after they have controlled their breath and mind and restraint senses all well, a boon I seek from your kind honor that please look upon and grant me that in whatever species of life it may be my fate to be born-I continue to love you and never be at a distant from your lotus feet, my Lord my loving son Angad is equal in skill and strength as that of mine, O bestower of blessedness please accept my son in your service- O lord of Gods and men, please treat him as your servant,

extravagant pride

श्री हनुमान चालीसा, 

Jai Sri Ram,

Indeed the heart of vali is filled now in love with yet his lips were harsh to express self,

O lord, You descended on Earth for upholding the righteousness but you have killed me as un-righteously, beside it how it makes Sugreeva your friend and myself enemy to you,

Lord replied, listen O Vali- younger brothers wife, sister, daughter in law and one’s own daughter are all alike, one should incur no sin by killing him who looks them with an evil eye, apart from this it was your extravagant pride that you paid no heed to your wife’s warning that your brother has taken refuge in might of my arms and yet in your vile arrogances you sought to kill him,

Then Vali expressed his true heart that listen my Lord my shrewdness cannot avail against my master, my Rama am I a sinner yet through I have found shelter in you at the hour of my death,  as lord heard his tender speech, lord stroked his head with his hand and said Vali I make your body immortal-you may keep up your life,

Vali fell down

श्री हनुमान चालीसा, 

Jai Sri Ram,

Now lord has put a wreath of flowers in neck of Sugreeva to identify him while in clash with,

Again two brothers fought in many ways while lord watched all from behind the tree,

Sugreeva had tried many a trick but fell short against the might of Vali and now it becomes hard for him to resist and feel cheated at inner base and lost heart then lord Rama realized all that and drew his arrow and shot at Vali in his heart ,

Struck by the shaft of lord Rama Vali fell down miserably as helpless smarting with pains of concluding phase, he tried to control self with his full to sprang up and sat-when he saw the lord in his front, he scrambled to self with humble mode, gazed on lord again and again that to fix his heart in his lotus feet,

श्री हनुमान चालीसा, 

Jai Sri Ram,

So saying Vali sallied forth in great pride of his might, two brothers crossed each other in the battle field,

Vali browbeat Sugreeva strike him fast again and again with his fist and made him unrest totally that forced Sugreeva to run for an escape to save self,

Reached in the lotus feet of Lord Rama by any how and express his heart that lord he is not my brother is my death himself, its enough for me lord-thanks,

Sri Rama pacify him that both of you looked alike and confused me to react that I did not kill him but this time dear friend scenario will be different by tied Sugreeva was reluctant to initiate again but Lord touched his body with his hand that induced infinite and immeasurable strength at his inner chamber of spirit and he agreed upon to recall Vali,
