Ego, proud & pride are very close to each other on the subject of life and they can never beneficial to life in any mode of it. Some times devotees of lord got trapped in this wicked pace of life by virtue of illusion on the subject of life then it comes the lord to rescue his devotees from this unwanted chapter of life.
Some times he helps the devotees in direct mode some times create a tough lesson to bring the devotees close to self. Compassionate lord tear this tree of proud from the heart of devotees from roots but devotees feel some tough time initially but in long run that proves to be the best as per the version of saints.
Some times devotees wish some thing which in fact is not favorable to him in life in its ultimate mode & compassionate lord reluctant to oblige so, same the way as if a patient distracted by his malady asks for some thing which is harmful to him, physician would not give it.
It is all for realization on the subject of life to carry on with the spirit of devotion & fulfillment of wishes their in due course of life.
