Glory of lord speaks well on the subject of devotees and their pride. Lord never tolerates pride in his devotees and his very own peoples because pride is the very root of this mundane world.
Pride brings the life to the orbit of birth and rebirth and cause of all kind of pain and every form of grief.
Hence all merciful get rid of it in his extreme fondness for his servants, even as a boil appear on the body of child, mother gets it operated heaving a stony heart.
Although at first while the boil is being cut open, child experienced the pain and cries helplessly the mother mind not the child’s agony, in her anxiety to see the child cured. Even so in the interest of the devotees himself, lord takes his pride to bring him close to the self and the final beatitude.
