Glory of lord reflects on the story of life in brief to understand about the soul and the life. The soul is a particle of divinity, immortal, conscious and blissful by nature.
Such a soul has allowed illusion to dominate to have the felling of sense perception and has been caught in its own trap. Matter and spirit have been linked together with a knot which though imaginary, is difficult to untie.
Birth and rebirth takes the roots their in through the ruling of illusion, since then soul become worldly. It is really hard to have happiness unless or until this knot is untied.
The interior of the soul being utterly clouded with the darkness of ignorance, the knot cannot even be perceived; how then, can it be untie?
Ancient books and puranas have elaborated the subject of liberation, modes and means have been drawn but hard to adore with being in life. But if grace of god appears in one’s heart then it routs to the wisdom of virtues.
Muttering of true name, austere, penance, sacred observances, the Yumas or forms of self restraint_
Continence
Veracity
Non-violence
Non-stealing
And non possession
The five niyams or positive virtues_
External and internal purity
Contentment
Self-study
Self-discipline
Self surrender to supreme soul
And innumerable other blessed virtues and religious practices as recommended by Vedas. Then it reaches to a stage from where one can have the realization of self and the supreme in true spirit.
Then constant awareness about the self, I am the same as that of the supreme in this way when bliss of self realization sheds in bright luster, error of duality, the root of worldly existence, is dispelled and infinite darkness of infatuation disappears.
Heaving thus procured a divine light; the buddhi {mind} referred to above and sits in the chamber of heart to untie the ligature that binds the spirit and matter.
The soul can hope to attain its objects only in the event of buddhi succeeding in untying it. But it is not all that easy because illusion again awards the pleasure of boons to rewrap the soul to life. If some one lost his control on the pleasures of boons, light of wisdom extinguished and soul then goes again through the manifold agonies of transmigration.
Path of wisdom in not all that easy in life, He alone who successfully threads it attain to the supreme state of final emancipation, total liberation, ultimate bliss.
This state of emancipation is most difficult to attain but the same beatitude comes unsolicited even against one’s will just by worshipping the lotus feet of lord with true heart and faith.
The lord who can make animate to inanimate and inanimate to animate: the soul adore such an omnipotent lord are blessed indeed.
