kand for life are very simple to perceive and valuable to indicate unto truth
of life.
Vibhishan is trying to elaborate the truth in the assembly
of Ravana for his welfare that_
Dear brother, I tender my opinion according to my own lights
and that in your interest alone,
Let him who seeks after his welfare, good reputation, wisdom,
a good destiny after death and joys of various kinds turn his eye away from the
brow on another’s wife even as one should refuge to see the moon on the fourth
night of bright half of a lunar month.
Even though a man lord of 14 spheres{seven above and seven
down he would certainly fall if he turned hostile to living beings, no one will
speak well of a man who has the slightest avarice if he were an ocean of
virtues and clever too.
