Indeed a day to recall the glory of Lord Rama in the light of his pastime,

Glory of Sri Rama is supreme truth to sail safe in all the four ages and in all the four stages of this age,

Four Yugas and Four Vedas have relate the truth of sri Rama in varying forms, to help the life on the path of righteousness, Dushera is one of the legendary truth on path unto truth of Sri Rama,

Jai sri Ram,
 Most pious day of Sacred Navratrey, Sri Sri Durga Ashtami, a day to recall the glory of Mother Gauri, a day to revere the lotus feet of Goddess Gauri,

The Loving daughter of King Himvan, the presiding deity of mount Himalaya, adorable daughter of austerity incarnate Maina. Lover Mother of Sri Ganesha and swami Karitikey,

Mother Gauri indicate cosmic intelligence, cosmic conscious and cosmic culture to spirit at varying levels and stages of life to immortal soul in garb of mortality,

Mother Gauri assumes many aspects just to help the devotee to their foremost and ultimate need with time and again on the sphere of life with tender care, Revere the lotus feet of Mother Gauri,

The difference between the individual soul and the God should be similarly explained,

For he is no other than God himself,

Holy men never drink wine

Jai Sri Ram,
If in their pride of wisdom foolish men emulate the great,

They are cast into hell for a whole Kalpa or life time of the universe,

Can an embodied soul vie with God.

Holy men would never drink wine even if they come to know that it had been made of water from Ganga, but the same wine becomes pure when it is poured into Ganga,

Sun and the Fire

Jai Sri Ram,
Even so the sun and the fire absorb moisture in all forms,

But no one can call them names

Again water of every description, pure as well as impure,

Flows into the Ganga, yet no one calls the heavenly stream impure, the mighty incur no blame,

If her Marriage take place with Sankara,

Everyone will call the demerits as good as virtues,

Even though Sri Hari uses the serpents gods Sesa as his couch and sleeps thereon,

Nevertheless i tell you one remedy,

This may avail if heaven helps you,

Uma will undoubtedly get such a husband as i have described to you,

But whatever demerits i have shown in her bridegroom exist in Shiva, so far i can guess,

The prediction of the saint cannot be false, the thought Made Himavan and his wife as well as the senior playmates anxious,

Collecting himself, the lord of mountains said_

Tell me holy sir, what should be employed,

Sage Narada replied, Hear, o Himvan, whatever has been decreed by fate no one can undo---not even gods, demons, human beings, nagas or sages,

Love for the lotus feet of Lord Shiva sprouted in her heart,

She, however, felt difficult in her mind,

Union with Shiva appeared so difficult to her,

Finding the time inopportune for its disclosure, she concealed her emotions and then sat down in the lap of one of her playmates,

Girija and all other playmates, Himalaya and his wife, Mena,

All had their standing on their end and their eyes were full of tears,

The words of the celestial sage Narada could not be untrue,

Hearing the words of the sage and believing them to be true,

Himalaya and his wife became disconsolate,

While Uma felt delighted, even Narada could not perceive this difference

Stark Naked

Jai Sri Ram,
Your Daughter, O Himalaya, is endowed with auspicious marks,

Hear now the few drawbacks she possesses,

Devoid of merits, free from pride, without father or mother, unconcerned and free from doubts,

An ascetic with matted hair and a heart devoid of longing, stark naked and with hideous accouterments, such a one shall be her lord, as i can read from the lines on her palm,

Jai sri Ram,
She shall ever united with her Lord and bring glory to her Parents,

She shall command the respect of the whole universe,

He who waits upon her shall lack nothing,

Your daughter is a mine of all virtues, pretty, amiable and intelligent by Nature,

Himachal extolled his own good luck,

Summoning his daughter, placed her at the sage's feet,

You Know Everything, including the past, present and future, and have access everywhere,

Jai Sri Ram,
Receiving all the news Narada eagerly went to the house of Himachal,

The King of mountain that presiding deity of the Himalaya, received him with great honor,

Washing the Sages's feet he led him to a beautiful seat,

He bowed his Head at the sage's feet along with his wife, and had his whole mansion sprinkled with the water hallowed by his feet,

With the advent of Girija as synonym of Parvati,

The Mountain Himalaya wore a cheerful look even as devotion to sri Rama lights up the face of a devotee,

Everyday brought a new delight to the house of Himachal,

Whose glory was sung even by great gods like Brahma,

Loved one another

Jai sri Ram,
Ever since Uma born in the house of Himalaya the mount become an abode of all blessings and prosperity,

Sages built beautiful hermitages here and there and Himalaya assigned them suitable abodes,

Young trees of different varieties were endowed with never failing blossoms and fruits, and mines of jewel of various kinds appeared on the beautiful mountain,

All rivers bore holy waters, beast and bees, all rejoiced, all animals gave up their natural antipathies and all those dwelt on the mountain loved one another,

Himalaya

Jai Sri Ram,
The story is known throughout the world,

That is why i have told it in brief,

While dying, Sati asked a boon of sri Hari that she might remain devoted to the feet of Shiva in all successive births,

That is why she was reborn as Parvati, the daughter of Mountain Himalaya, in the house of Himachal, the only pleading over the Himalaya mountain,

He Sent Virabhadra

Jai Sri Ganesha,
Shankara got all the news and in his wrath He sent Virabhadra,

Going there the latter made havoc of the sacrifice,

And requited all the gods according to their desert,

As is well known to the world, Daksha met the fate which an opponent of Shambhu generally meet,

Plaintive cry

Jai Sri Ram,
A plaintive cry rose from the whole assembly,

Hearing of Sati's death.

The Attendants of Shambhu began to destroy the sacrifice,

Seeing the sacrifice being destroyed, the great sage Braghu protected it,

Fire of Yoga

Jai Sri  Ram,
And This Body of mine has sprung from the loins of Daksha,

Therefore, installing in my heart Lord Shiva,

Who bears the moon on his forehead and a bull as his emblem,

I shall immediately quit the body, as she spoke thus she burnt her body with the fire of Yoga,

Universal Spirit,

Jai sri Ram,
Whatever you hear a saint, Sambhu or Vishnu that lord of Laxmi vilified,

The rule is that if it lies within your power, you should tear out the tongue of the reviler or you should run away closing your ears,

The Slayer of Tripura, The great Shiva, is Universal Spirit,

He is the father of the universe and is beneficent to all, it is him my stupid father vilifies,

Then she Sharply re-approaching the whole assembly,

She spoke in angry accents,

Hear ye elders of the assembly and great sages,

All of you who have reviled Sankara or heard him reviled must forthwith reap the fruit of your sin and my father too shall fully repent,

The thought of the same made Sati furious,

Her Mother tries to pacify her in many ways,

The insult to Shiva was something unbearable,

Her heart could not, therefore, be pacified,

Most painful

Jai sri Ram,
Then did she realize the force of Sankara's warning,

Her heart burnt within her at the thought of the insult offered to her lord,

The former grief that of repudiation by her lord did not torment her heart so much as the great agony she now felt, as result of the insult offered to her husband,

Although there are terrible agonies of various kinds in this world, the insult offered to one's own people is the most painful of them all,

Her sisters received her with profuse smile,

Daksa would not even inquire about her health,

He burnt all over with rage at the very sight of Sati,

Sati then went to have a look at the sacrifice but nowhere dis she find any share of oblations set apart for Sambhu,

The slayer of Tripura detailed a few of his principal attendants as her escort and sent her away,

When Bhavani etymologically, the consort of Bhava, an epithet of Shiva, Reached her fathers house,

No one greeted Her for fear of incurring Daksha,s displeasure,

Her mother was the solitary figure who met her kindly,

Lord repeated once more that if she went to her father's place uninvited,

He anticipated no good result from it,

Having reasoned with her in many ways more than one,

Jai Sri Ram,
It is very pious chapter today, the appearance day of sri Sri Radha ji, indeed a day when celestial entities manifest on the planet in different forms for oblations of the day and to mark self with,

Sri Radha Ashtami is not just a divine day but a comprehensive truth of divinity in its lap for the good of devotees and aspirants on the path of love and truth,

Sri Radha Ashtami is the day to mark eternally in love with sri Krishna and the Path is sri sri Radha ji,

It is a legendary day of Sacred Bhado which felicitate the devotees to make it for eternal cause that none other than blissful unison with supreme Self,

It is no doubt true one should call on one's friend, father or teacher without waiting for a formal invitation,

Yet where someone nurses a grudge against you,

Sambhu expostulated with Sati in so many ways but as fate had willed wisdom would not dawn on her,

In the court of Brahma he once took offence at our behavior,

That is why he insult us even Now,

Bhivani, all decorum, affection, and honor will be cast to the winds,

Jai Sri Ram,
Lord Shiva replied, your suggestion is good and has commended itself to me as well,

But the anomaly is that_

Your father has sent no invitation to us,

Daksha has invited all his other daughters, but because of the grudge he bears to you too have been ignored,

Jai Sri Ram,
On the occasion of Sri Shiv Vivah,

At the direction of the sages Sambhu and Bhavani paid divine honors to the Lord Ganesha,

Let no one be puzzled to hear this, for one should bear in mind that gods have existed from time without beginning,

Today is the day to rejoice in celebration of sri Ganesh Jayanti, the truth which helps devotees to recover self from the delusion of Maya,

Tormented her heart

Jai Sri Ram,
Repudiation by her Lord tormented her heart not a little,

But conscious of her guilt she would not utter a  word,

At last Sati spoke in a charming voice tinged with awe, misgiving and affection,

There is great rejoicing at my father's house, O Lord. if you grant me leave, i would fain go and see, O storehouse of compassion,

When Sati inquired about the stir in the air,

Shiva explained the whole thing,

She was somewhat delighted to hear of the sacrifice commenced by her father,

And thought of making it an excuse for staying a few days with her Father in case the great Lord Shiva granted her leave,

Celestial damsels

Jai Sri ram,
All the gods with exception of Sri Vishnu, Viranchi that Creator, and the great Lord Shiva set out in their areal cars,

Sati Beheld beautiful areal cars of various patterns coursing through the air,

Celestial damsels were singing melodies strains,

Which intruded upon the air of ascetics and broke their meditation,

Big Sacrifice

Jai Sri Ram,
Daksha got together all sages,

And began to perform a big sacrifice,

All the gods who obtain a share of the oblations offered at the sacrifice were cordially invited to attend,

Kinnaras, a species of demigods, Naga, Siddhas, a class of celestial beings and Gandharva that celestial songster and whole host of gods proceeded to the sacrifice along with their wives,

When Daksha attained this high position,

The Pride of his heart knew no bounds,

Never was a creature born in this world,

Whom power did not intoxicate,

He began to narrate the delightful stories of Sri Hari,

Meanwhile Daksha Sati's father, had come to know be the lord of created beings,

On careful consideration the creator Brahma found Daksha qualified in every-way,

And appointed him as the supreme lord of created beings,

Shiva started repeating the name of Rama,

Then Sati came to know that the Lord of universe had come to the waking stale,

She went and bowed at the feet of Sambhu,

Sankara gave her a seat opposite himself,

The Daughter of Daksha, Sati,

Thus felt very miserable, her deep agony was terrible,

It was beyond words,

When eighty seven thousand years elapsed, the immortal Shambhu emerged from his trance,

Unbearable Calamity

Jai Sri Ram,
If i have any devotion to the feet of Shiva,

And if i am true to my vow in thought, word and deed,

Then, O all perceiving Lord,

Listen to me, and speedily devise some plan whereby i may die and be thus rid of this unbearable calamity without much exertion,

Jai Sri Ram,
Gopies of Sri Vrindavan struggle hard to meet the fate of their want,

It was nothing else but Love for Sri Krishna and Love from Sri Krishna,

This want ever remains New, this was the quest of divinity within self that pitched on true and unalloyed love for Krishna, Krishna-the Heart Master,

Indeed they were blessed to rise above the limitation of worldly wants and cross the horizon to recall their ultimate soul mate Krishna,

Every one in the journey of life is bound to work incessantly, all work by nature compose of good and bad, good may pose bad, bad may pose god, as both are two facets of the karma, pitched in three streams, one cannot afford extra attachment to the karma, let it be and be it for the lotus feet of almighty Truth, to escape from the resultant of Karma,

For man, it is very clear in perception that be man, not yield to cowardice, is beneath real nature of  the man, one needs to shake off this weakness and stand up to struggle for the righteousness,

Do not give up your righteous duty, for the story of dishonor will be repeated, one who value his honor, that is surely worse than death,

Message of Lord Krishna is very clear and simple that on the path of spirituality, effort never goes to waist, there is no adverse effect, even a little effort towards spiritual awareness will bring protection from the greatest fear,

The sane lady invoked the presence of Rama in her Heart,

For she did not know when she would be able to cross the ocean of sorrow,

I slighted the Lord of Raghu's and again took my husband's words to be untrue,

Providence has repaid me for my sins and has done only which i deserve,

Sankara communed with his own self and passed into in unbroken and indefinitely long Samadhi, the Trance,

Then Sati dwelt in Kailash,

Her Mind grievously sorrowing,

No body knew anything about what was going on in her mind, but the days hung heavy on her like so many Yugas or ages,

The pose of the Lotus

Jai Sri Ganesha,
Relating various legends while on his way,

The Lord of the universe, Shiva, reached kailasa,

Then, recalling his Vow,

Shambhu sat down there under a banyan tree in the yogic pose known as Padmasana, the pose of a lotus,

But all the while her heart smoldered like a furnace,

Perceiving the sad look of Sati,

She Realized that Lord Shiva is supremely unfathomable ocean of mercy,

Hence He did not openly declare Her Fault,
