It is no doubt true,

One should call on one's friend, Master, father or teacher without waiting for a formal invitation,

Yet where someone nurses a grudge against you,

You reap no good by going there,

Because of the grudge he bears to us you too have been ignored,

In the court of Brahma he once took offence at our behavior,

That is why he insults us now, 

If you go there uninvited, all decorum, affection and honor will be cast to the winds,

 Jai sri Ram,

Lord Shiva replied, Your suggestion is good,

And it has commended itself to me as well,

But the anomaly is that your father has sent no invitation to us,

Daksha has invited all his other daughters, but because of the grudge he bears to us,

O storehouse of compassion

 Jai Sri Ram,

At last Sati spoke in a charming voice tinged with awe, misgiving and affection,

There is great rejoice at my father's house, 

O Lord, if you grant me leave,

I would fain go and see it, O storehouse of compassion,

conscious of her guilt

 Jai sri Ram,

She was somewhat delighted to hear of the sacrifice commenced by her father, 

And thought of making it an excuse for staying a few days with her father in case the great Lord Shiva granted her leave,

Repudiation by her lord tormented Her heart not a little,

But conscious of her guilt she would not utter a word,

Which intruded upon the ears of ascetics and broke their meditation,

 Jai Sri Ganesha,

Sri Basant Panchami today, an appearance day of Goddess Saraswati, The Mother Divine,

The great giver that embodiment of mercy and compassion, 

A generous truth that help the helpless irrespective of merits, and rescue the devotees midst of all odds, 

Obeisance to Mother on the auspicious occasion of his appearance day on the planet,

 Jai Sri Ganesha,

Daksha got together all the sages,

And they began to perform a big sacrifice,

All gods who obtain a share of oblations offered at a sacrifice were cordially invited to attend,

Kinnaras, Nagas, Siddhas, Gandharvas, and the who host of gods proceeded to the sacrifice along with wives,

pride of his heart knew no bounds

 Jai Sri Ganesha,

When Daksha attained this high position,

The pride of his heart knew no bounds,

Never was a creature born in this world,

Whom power did not intoxicate,

 Jai Sri Ram,

He began to narrate the delightful stories of Sri Hari,

Meanwhile Daksha had come to be the lord of created beings,

On careful consideration the creator found Daksha qualified in everyway,

And appointed him as supreme lord of created beings,

started repeating the name of Rama

 Jai Sri Ram,

Shiva started repeating the name of Rama,

Then Sati came to know that the lord of the universe had come to the waking stale,

She went and bowed at the lotus feet of Shambhu,

Shankara gave her a seat opposite to himself,

eighty seven thousand

 Jai sri Ram,

The daughter of Daksha, Sati,

Thus felt very miserable,

Her deep agony was terrible beyond words,

When eighty seven thousand years elapsed, the Immortal Shambhu emerged from His Trance,

true to my vow

 Jai Sri Ram,

If i have any devotion to the feet of Shiva,

And i am true to my vow in thought, word and deed, 

Then, O all pervading Lord, listen to me and speedily devise some plan,

 Whereby i may die and be thus rid of this unbearable calamity without much exertion,

anguish of her heart

 Jai Sri Ganesha,

The anguish of her  heart was beyond words,

The sane lady invoked the presence of sri Rama in her heart, and address him thus,

If they refer to you as compassionate to the poor and if the Vedas have glorified you as the dispeller of sorrow,  

I beseech with joined palms, That i may be speedily rid of this body of mine,

Providence has repaid me for my sins,

And has done only that which i deserved,

Now, O, God, it does not behoove you, 

That you should make me survive even after alienating me from Sankara,

The grief that preyed on Sati's mind was ever new,

For she did not know when she would be able to cross the ocean of sorrow,

I slighted the lord of Raghus,

Then sati dwelt in Kailash,

Her mind grievously sorrowing,

Nobody knew anything about what was going on in her mind,

But the days hung heavy on her like so many yugas or ages,

 Jai Sri Ram,

Then recalling His vow, 

Shambhu, Sat down there under a banyan tree in a Yogic Posture,

That known as Padmasana-the pose of a lotus,

Sankara commuted with his own self and passed into an unbroken and indefinitely long Samadhi that trance,

Perceiving the sad look of Sati, 

Shiva narrated beautiful stories in order to divert her mind,

Relating various legends while on his way,

The lord of the universe, Reached Kailash,

From the attitude of Sankara,

However, she judged that the Lord had abandoned her,

And felt disturbed in her heart,

Conscious of her guilt she could not utter a word of protest, but all the while her heart smoundered like a furnace,

Sati felt perturbed in her heart at the thought of what she had done,

And the extend of her anxiety could neither be gauged nor described,

She realized that Lord Shiva is a supremely unfathomable ocean of mercy,

Hence he did not openly declare her fault,

farm of falsehood

 Jai Sri Ram,

Even water when mixed with milk, sell as milk,

Look at the unifying process of love,

The water, however, is separated from the milk,

And the taste also disappears the moment a drop of acid is introduced into it in the farm of falsehood,

 Jai sri Ram,

You are embodiment of truth and compassionate to the poor,

Even though Sati Enquired in Many ways,

The slayer of the demon Tripura Sankara spoke not a word,

Sati Concluded that the omnipresent lord had come to know everything and felt sorry that she had tried to deceive Sambhu,

When she heard the heavenly voice,

Sacred Magh has started today and will last till its Purnima on 27th Feb,

This month is one among the four legendary chapters that Baisakh, Saawan and Kartik,

Worship of Lord Vishnu is taken as prime chapter to sanctify self with truth of religious practices including snana Daan,

Sacred Magh is a month of eternal light with truth of divine wisdom that for the cause of life on the planet, and men may make most through respective discipline,

Shiva resolved accordingly and having resolved the stable minded Lord Sankara proceeded towards his home with his mind fixed on the Hero of Raghu's race,

Even as he stepped forward a charming voice from heaven thundered forth,

The great lord Shiva uttered not a word aloud,

Though there was great agony in his heart,

Then Sankara bowed his head at the feet of the Lord,

Sati is too chaste to be abandoned

 Jai Sri Ram,

If I continue to love Sati as heretofore,

The cult of devotion will disappear,

And it will be indecorous on my part to do so,

Sati is too chaste to be abandoned and it is a great sin to love her any more as a wife,

Sri Putrada Ekadasi

 Jai Sri Ram,

Ideal of Sri Ekadasi is to make the mind fair with truth of self,

Philosophy of the event is to reveal mystic truth within self for eternal cause,

Sages and seers of the ages with light of wisdom have cherished in their own truth with inherent joy through respective discipline on the day,

Indeed a day to make it easy for self to track the tough terrain of journey through mild application unto truth of discipline of the day,

Again, he bowed his head to the delusive power of sri Rama,

That has prompted Sati to tell a lie.

What has preordained by the will of sri Hari must have its way,

All the wise Sambhu thought within himself, Sati had assumed the disguise of Sita, this made Shiva much disconsolate at heart,

What you said cannot be untrue,

I am fully convinced in my heart,

Lord Shankara then looked within by contemplation, 

And come to know all that Sati Had done,

 Jai sri Ram,

Having realized the greatness of the hero of Raghu's race, 

Sati in her awe concealed the truth from Shiva,

I made no test my Lord,

I made obeisance just like you,

Tell me now

 Jai sri Ram,

Repeatedly bowing her head at the feet of Sri Rama,

She proceeded to the spot where the lord Shiva was,

When she came near, Lord Shiva smilingly inquired if all was well with her and then Said,

Tell me now the whole truth, how did you test sri Rama,

 Jai Sri Ram,

Her heart quivered and she lost all consciousness of her body,

Closing her eyes she sat down on the wayside,

When she opened her eyes and gazed once more,

The daughter of Daksha saw nothing there,

struck with great awe

 Jai Sri Ram,

But while the gods who adored the Lord appeared in diverse garbs,

The appearance of sri Rama was the same in every case,

Although she saw Rama, the same Laxmana and the Sita,

Sati was struck with great awe,

separate vision of Rama

 Jai Sri Ram,

She further perceived innumerable Satis, consort of Lord Shiva, 

Consort of Brahma and consort of Vishnu that Laxmi, all peerless in beauty,

They conformed in their appearance to the garb in which Brahma and other gods appeared,

Each separate vision of Rama was attended by a whole host of gods with their feminine counterparts, as well as the whole animate and inanimate creation with its multitudinous species,

Sati Saw more than one sets of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu,

Each set possessing a glory infinitely greater than that of the others,

She also beheld a whole host of gods at the lord's feet,

And waiting upon him in their different Garbs,

 Jai sri Ram,

As she went on her way Sati beheld a strange phenomenon,

Sri Rama was going ahead of her along with his consort Sita and younger brother Laxman,

She looked back and there too she saw the lord with his brother and Sita in an attractive garb,

Whichever way she turned her eyes, there was lord enthroned with the Siddhas that adepts and illuminated sages ministering to him,

What reply shall i give to my lord now,

The agony of her heart was most terrible,

Sri Rama perceived that Sati had vexed,

He, therefore, revealed to her a part of His Glory,

Sri Makar Sankranti today to enjoin the divine celebration of a celestial event, 

An auspicious occasion to cultivate staunchness of feeling to realign with to truth and the cause,

So strong is the truth of celestial culture that for the cause of spirit on the planet, man may take advantage through respective oblations in spirit with,

Sati felt very uncomfortable,

When she heard these soft yet significant words of Rama, 

She turned towards the great Lord Shiva with a feeling of awe and much dejected at heart,

I heeded not the word of Sankara and imposed my own ignorance on Rama,

Joining the palms of his hands,

He first made obeisance to her mentioning his name along with his father's,

He then asked her the whereabouts of Lord Shiva, who has a bull emblazoned on his standard,

And wondered what made her roam about all alone in the forest,

 Jai Sri Ram,

Sati sought to practise deception even on him,

See how deep rooted the nature of woman is, 

Extolling in his heart the potency of his Maya,

Sri Rama smilingly accosted Her in a mild tone,

sri Rama took no time to detecting the false appearance

 Jai Sri Ram,

He was tongue tied and looked vert grave,

The sagacious brother was acquainted with the lord's glory,

All perceiving and the inner controller of all,

The lord of gods, sri Rama took no time to detecting the false appearance of Sati, Rama was the same omnipresent Lord whose thought wipes out ignorance,

Sati assumed the form of Sita

 Jai Sri Ram,

After many anxious thought Sati assumed the form of Sita,

And moved ahead on the same route which the ruler of men sri Rama was passing,

When Laxman saw Sati in her disguise, 

He was astonished and much puzzled,

Sati proceeded

 Jai Sri Ram,

After all, whatever sri Rama has willed must come to pass,

Why should add to the complication by indulging in further speculation, 

So Saying, Lord Shiva began to mutter the name of Sri Hari,

While Sati proceeded to the spot where the all blissful Lord Sri Rama was,

In order to test the divinity of Rama

 Jai Sri Ram,

She racked her brains to find out what step she should take,

In order to test the divinity of Rama,

On this side Shiva came to the conclusion that mischief was in store for Sati,

When the doubt did not yield even to my assurances, he said to himself, it seems the stars are unpropitious to her and no good will come out of it,

Sati Proceed to her Mission

 Jai Sri Ram,

I shall be waiting in the shade of this Banyan tree till you come back to me,

Using your critical judgement you should resort resort to some device,

Whereby the stupendous error born of your ignorance may be rectified,

Thus obtaining leave of Shiva, Sati Proceed to her Mission,

Time after time

 Jai Sri Ram,

Although Lord Shiva repeated this time after time,

His exhortation made no impression on the heart of Sati,

Then the great Lord Shiva smilingly said, realizing in his heart the potency of sri Hari's Maya, 

If you have a grave doubt in your mind, why not go and verify the thing,

 Jai Sri Ram,

He who has bodied himself forth as the jewel of Raghu's race for the sake of devotees is no other than the supreme eternal,

Who is all pervading and ever free, who is ruler of all the worlds and the Lord of Maya, 

Whom illumined sages, yogis, and Siddhas constantly meditate upon with their sinless mind and whose glory is sung by the Vedas as well as Puranas and other scriptures in Negative terms,

Not this,

 Jai Sri Ram,

My beloved deity, whose story was sung by the jar born sage Agastya, 

Faith in whom was the subject of the talk,

I gave to him and whom illumined sages ever wait upon,

He who has bodied himself forth as the jewel of Raghu's race for the sake of devotees is no other than the supreme eternal,
