Wherever the fawn eyed princes cast her glance, a continuous stream of white lotuses seemed to rain there,

Laxmana-it seems as if cupid has surrounded his kettledrum with intent to conquer the universe,

So saying he looked once again in the same direction whence the sound came and his eyes feasted themselves on Sita's countenance even as the Cakora bird gaze on the Moon,

When her companions saw her condition, her body thrilling all over and her eyes full of tears, they all asked her in gentle tones_TELL US WHAT HAS GLADDENS YOUR HEART,

Sri Sita was accompanied by her girl companions-who were all lovely and intelligent,

They sang melodies in an enchanting voice, close to the lake stood a Temple-Sacred To Girija,

This temple was limit of beauty, and captivated the mind of those who looked at it,

Having taken a dip into the lake with her companions, Sri Sita went with a glad heart to Girija's temple,

Both the brothers were delighted to behold the garden with its lake,

Most lovingly must have been that garden which delighted even sri Rama-the delighter of all,

On that very occasion Sri Sita too arrived there, having been sent by her mother to worship Girija,

Rich in fresh leaf, fruit and flower they put to shame even celestial trees by their wealth,

The feathered choir of the catakas, cuckoos, parrots and cakoras warbed and peacock beautifully danced,

In the centre of the garden a lovely lake shone bright with flights of steps made of many coloured gems,

Its limped water contained lotuses of various colours and was vocal with the cooing of aquatic birds and the humming of bees,

Having Performed all the customary acts of purification, they went and finished their ablutions and having gone their daily routine of devotion ect.,

They bowed before the sage, when the time come the two brothers took leave of the preceptor and went out to gather flowers,

Having Gone out they saw the lovely royal garden, enamoured of whose beauty the verbal season had taken its permanent abode there,

It was planted with charming trees of various kinds and overhung with beautiful creepers of creepers of different colours,

When the sage asked him again and again, Sri Rama and Laxmana went to bed only then,

Then Laxmana served the lotus feet of Rama, pressed the lord's feet to his bosom and caressed them with reverence and love deriving supreme joy from service,

It was only when the Lord repeatedly said, retire now, my brother, that he laid himself down cherishing his brothers lotus feet in his heart,

Towards the close of night, at the sound of coo-crow, got up laxmana, the lord of universe, the all wise Sri Rama, also woke before his preceptor,

At the approach of night the sage Vishvamitra gave the word and all performed their their evening devotion,

The couple whose lotus-feet are sought by men to rub of dispassion muttering various sacred formulae and practising different kind of yoga lovingly rubbing the feet of their preceptor , conquered as it were by his love,

Finding all the children under the spell of affection, Sri Rama lovingly extolled the places shown by them would call the two brothers went to them out of loving kindness,

Wherever the two brothers went It is Full Moon Today, they reached the eastern quarter of the city,

Where the arena for bow sacrifice had been got ready, in the midst of a beautiful and spacious paved area a spotless alter was richly adorned,

 On all the four sides of this alter were erected elevated and broad seats of Gold to be occupied by the princes,

Their beautiful head was covered with a charming rectangular cap and dark curly locks,

The two brothers were lovely from head to foot, the beauty of every limb was as it should be, when the citizens received the news that the two princes had come to see the town, they all left their business and ran out as if pauper were out to grab a valuable property,

Their hands were adorned with a graceful bow and arrow respectively, both had streaks of red and white sandalwood past painted on their Body, their lovely eyes resembled the red lotus and the moon like face relived one of the threefold agony,

Extolling the sage and bowing his head, king escorted him to his capital, and lodged the sage in a beautiful palace which was comfortable at all times,

Therefore sir, i earnestly inquire of you, tell me the truth_

Please hide nothing from me my lord, my mind has perforce the joy of absorption into Brahma,

Finding his heart overwhelmed with love the king recovered himself by recourse to reason and bowing his head at the sage's feet, spoke the following pregnant words in a voice chocked with emotion_

Tell me, my lord; are these two pretty boys the ornament of a sage's family or the bulwarks of some Royal dynasty

Inquiring again and again about his welfare, Visvamitra led the king to a seat,

At the very time arrived the two half brothers who had gone to see the garden,

The delight of all eyes, they stole the heart of the whole world, all those present there rose when the lord Rama came and Vishvamitra seated him by his side,

When the king of Mithila got news that the great sage Vishvamitra had come,

He took with him his faithful ministers, a number of warriors, noble Brahmans, his family preceptor-Satananada, the chief of kinsmen and thus went rejoicing to meet the prince of sages,

Placing his head on the sage's feet the king obeisance to him, while the lord of sages Vishvamitra gladly gave him his blessings,

The King then respectfully saluted the Brahmans and congratulated himself on his good fortune in being able to receive them,

In the outskirts in the city by the side of lakes and rivers numerous princes had encamped here and there,

On seeing a fine mango-groove, which was comfortable and agreeable in every-way,

Very Well, My Lord-answered the gracious Rama, and encamped there with all the hermits train,

The entrance to the palace were all beautiful and protected with doors of diamond,

They were always throned with feudatory princes, dancers, panegyric and bards,

There were spacious stables and stalls foe elephants, which were crowded at all times with steeds, elephants and chariots,

The king had a number of brave ministers and generals, they all owned mansions that vied with the royal palace,

The people of the city were good looking, pious, saintly, virtues, wise and accomplished.

The palace of the King Janaka was marvellous, the sight of whose splendour astound  even gods,

Even the fortification wall filled the mind with wonder, it seemed as if it had enclosed within its limits the beauty of the whole world,

White Palaces were screened here and there by bejewelled gold tapestries of various beautiful designs, while the exquisite palace where Sri Sita ji lived was far too lovely for worlds to describe,

There was a lovely Bazar and gorgeous balconies made of jewels, fashioned as it were by the creator with his own hands,

Wealthy and good merchants, who vied with kubera-the god of wealth- sat with all their various goods,

Beautiful crossings of Road and charming streets were constantly sprinkled with scented water,

The houses of all were abodes of bliss and contained beautiful wall paintings portrayed, as it were by Rati's Lord-cupid-himself,

Bees drunk with honey, made a sweet humming sound and birds of various hues softly cooed,

Lotuses of different colours opened their petals, while a cool, soft and fragrant breeze ever delighted the soul,

The city was adorned on all sides with flower-gardens, orchards and grooves, the haunt of innumerable birds, full of blossoms, fruits and charming leaves,

The beauty of the city surpassed description, every inch of it was soul-captivating,

There were many big and small wells, rivers and tanks with water as sweet as nectar, and reached by flights of steps made of jewel,

The Lord Sri Hari is such a great friend of the humble and the compassionate Beyond one's deserts,

O Manasa, adore him, giving up all deceit and wily wrangling,

Sri Ganga-the celestial stream of which the purifies the whole universe, the son of Gadhi, Vishvamitra, related the whole legend how the pious stream had come down upon earth,

The merciful Lord Sri Hari placed on my head the same lotus feet from which issued the most holy Ganga-the heavenly river

At the very touch of his holy feet, which may drive away sorrows, emerged Ahilya,

Ahilya, a true embodiment of austerity, beholding the lotus feet of Sri Rama, the delight of his servants,

She stood before him with joined palm, her heart being overwhelmed with love, the hair of her body stood on their end and she was unable to utter a word,

The most blessed Ahilya cleaved to his feet, tear streamed from both eyes, recovering herself she recognised the lord and by the grace of sri Rama attained devotion to his feet,

Hearing of a bow sacrifice, Lord gladly accompanied the noble sage, On  the way they saw a hermitage without bird, beast or any other living creature,

Observing a slab of stone lying there the lord enquired of the sage about it, and latter in reply told him in details the whole history behind it,

Gautama's consort, having assumed the form of a stone under a curse, seek with patience the dust of your lotus feet; show mercy to her, O Lord Rama
