The elephants of the eight cardinal points trumpeted, the earth rocked mountain trembled and the oceans were agitated,
The Gandharvas, gods, sages, nagas, and kinnars, all felt delighted at the heart to perceive that their troubles were over,
Myriads of the formidable monkey warriors gnashed their teeth in a bellion mood; while many more millions dashed forwards crying-glory to Sri Rama, of mighty valour and hymning his praise,
Even the lord of serpents Sesa found himself unable to bear the crushing weight of the troops, and felt dizzy again and again,
