Jai Sri Ram,
Sati dwelt in Kailash but mind in agonies, Her mind grievously sorrowing, no body knows her agony of heart,

The days hung heavy to her like ages and aeons,

The grief that preyed on Sati's mind was ever new; for she did not know when she would be able to cross the ocean of sorrow,

She is addressing self that providence has paid her for sins perhaps she deserve by not trusting her loving consort unto the truth of Sri Rama,
