The sage then inquired about devotion to Sri Hari,

And Shiva discoursed on it finding in the sage a fit recipient,

Thus Narrating and hearing the tale of Sri Rama's virtues, the Lord Shiva spent some days there,

Finally asking leave of the sage, the slayer of the demon Tripura, Shiva, proceeded to his Home,

Hear, O Sage, the time and occasion of this dialogue, your gloom will be lifted,

Once upon a time, in the treat age, lord shiva called on the Jar-born sage Agastya,

The Great Sage narrated at length the story of sri Rama and Shiva listened to it with extreme delight,

A similar doubt was expressed by no less than a personage than Bhavani,

Tell me in detail my master, the story whereby my overwhelming perplexity may be overcome,

Yajnavalkya smilingly said, the glory of Lord of Raghu's is already known to you,

I have come to know your ingenuty that you wish to hear an account of the hidden virtues of Rama, that is why you have questioned me as if you were ignorant,

The saints as well as Puranas and Upanishads too declare that the potency of the Name Rama is unlimited,

The Immortal Lord Shiva, who is the fountain of joy and a storehouse of wisdom and goodness, incessantly repeats it,

There are four broad divisions of living beings in the world, such of them as die in the holy city of Kashi attain highest state,

This Too marks the glory of Sri Rama's Name, for it is very name that Lord Shiva imparts to the dying soul in Kashi,

The saints lay down the rule and the vedas as well as the puranas and sages too loudly proclaimed,

There is a great rejoicing every year and having performed their ablutions while Sun stays in Capricorn the host of sages disperse,

Having bathe on one occasion for the whole period of the Sun's stay in Capricorn when all the great sages had left  for their hermitages,

Bhardwaj clasped by the feet and detained the supremely wise saint Yajnavalikya,

He reverently washed the latter's lotus feet and installed him on a most sacred seat,

The precepts of religion and the classification of fundamental entities,

They worship the lotus feet of Madhav, the lord of Prayaga, and touch of the immortal Banyan tree sends thrill into their limbs,

The oldest poet Valmiki is acquainted concession of Name, inasmuch as he attained purity by repeating it in the reverse order,

Hearing the verdict of Lord Shiva that the name is as good as a thousand names of god, goddess Bhavani dined with her consort after uttering it,

 Devotion to the lord is, as were the rainy season and npble devotees, says Tulsidasa, represent the paddy crop,

While the two charming syllabus of the name stand for two months of Saawan and Bhado,

Girija-daughter of mountain king was greatly delighted at heart to hear the whole narrative and replied in pleasing tones,

By the grace of my lord-yourself-my doubts have disappeared and my devotion to sri Rama's feet has been renovated, by your blessing, O Lord of the universe, i have attained the object of my life, unswerving devotion to Sri Rama has sprung in the heart and all my afflictions have ended,

Delay no more-O Good Sage but apply the sacred Mark on the forehead of his majesty as a token of Sovereignty,

Sri Rama took his seat thereon, the whole host of sages was overjoyed as they looked upon the Lord, Sage Vashista first of all applied the sacred mark himself and then directed all Brahmans to do- the mothers were transported with joy, large number of kettledrums sounded in the heaven,

O king of birds the beauty of the sight, the uniqueness of the assembly and the delight of the occasion each defied description-Having severally hymned the lord's praises the gods returned each to his abode,

Again and again i ask only this boon of you----be pleased to grant it, O lord of Laxmi---unceasing devotion to your lotus feet and constant communion with your devotees,

How can he have killed the lord of Lanka, Too delicate of Body are my two boys, while the demons were great champion of extraordinary might,

As the mother looked upon Lord with Laxmana and sita, her soul overwhelmed with supreme felicity and the hair on her body bristled up again and again,

Vibhishan Sugreeva Nila Jambvan, Angada and Hanuman and other monkey heroes-who were all of a virtuous disposition, had assumed charming human forms, with great reverence and love all applauded Bharta's affection, amiability, austerity and discipline,

They bowed their heads at Kaushalya's feet, who rejoiced to give them her blessing, adding you are dear to me as Rama, auspicious oman of every description occurred, many of the Brahmans spoke in endearing terms, Sri Rama's coronation will bring delight to the whole World,

Burning festal lights in gold plates they waved them above Sri Rama's head in order to ward off evil forces,

And again and again contemplated the lord's person,

They scattered every kind of offering above Him in order to avert an evil eye,

Their heart full of supreme felicity and jubilation, again and again did Kaushalya gaze upon the hero of Raghu's line-who was an ocean of compassion and an irresistible warrior, each time pondering within herself,

They enquired after Her welfare and blessed Her,

As for Kaikayi-she felt very uncomfortable at heart while embracing Sri Rama,

Kaushalya and the other mothers all ran out to meet Sri Rama,

Even as a cow that has lately calved would run at the sight of its little one,

It seemed as through cows that had recently calved and have been forced to go out to the woods for grazing,

Leaving their little one's at home, had at the close of the day rushed forth lowing towards the village with dripping teats,

Sri Rama forthwith appeared in countless forms and in this way the gracious lord met everybody in an appropriate manner,

Lord Shiva said to Goddess Uma-Uma this was the mystery which none could comprehend, Having Thus gratified all-----Sri Rama, who was  a repository of amiability and goodness, proceeded further,

All the woes begotten of their Separation from the Lord now ended,

The Lord Then gladly met Satrughn and pressed him to his bosom,

Next came the turn of Laxmana and Bharata and the two brothers embraced each other with utmost affection,

Bharat and Satrughn bowed their head at Sita's feet and felt supreme delight,
