Ever since Hanuman left after burning Lanka the demons there had lived in constant terror, in their own houses they thought, there is no hope for the demon's race now,
If his messenger was mighty beyond words, what good result when the master himself entered the city,
Mandodary the principal queen heard from her female spies what the citizens were saying, felt much perpetuated, meeting her Lord in seclusion, fell at his feet and with joined palms addressed him in polite words,
My Lord, avoid all strife with Sri Hari, take my words as salutary advice if you seek your welfare, call one of your ministers and send back with him the consort of Rama, the very thought of whose messenger's doing makes the wife of the demons miscarry, as Sita has come here as the bane of your race unless you return Sita not even Shiva nd Brahma can be of any good to you,
