With his thought fixed on the lotus feet of Sri Rama he then reached the gate of Ravana's council, sent a demon and apprised Ravana of his arrival, Messenger fetched Angada, with an unflinching mind he entered the court, the assembly abruptly rose at the sight of Monkey, Ravana's heart was filled with great fury,

Angada bowed his head and took his seat in the assembly as fearlessly as a lion treads in the midst of Mad Elephants,

Ravana asked who are you, Angada said i am ambassador from Rama, there was friendship between you and my father, that i have come, O grandson of sage Pulastya, you worshiped Lord Shiva and Brahma in various ways, obtained boons from them, influence of kingly pride you carried off Sita,

Listen my friendly advice, lord will forgive you, Put a straw between the rows of your teeth and axe by your throat and take all your people including your wives, respectfully placing Janaki at the head, and address him thus, O protector of suppliant, O jewel of Raghu's race, save me, the moment He hears your piteous cry the lord will surely rid you of every fear,

Ravana laughed when he heard the words of his wife, and quote eight evils that ever abides in the heart of woman,  Ravana said, i have come to know your ingenuity-O fawn eyed lady-your words are profound, they afford delight when understood and dispel all fear even when heard,

Mandodary was now convinced at heart that her husband's impending death had deluded him,

There at the daybreak Sri Rama summoned all his counselors, asked their opinion-tell me quickly the course should be adopted, Jambvant bow his Head and Said Bali's son Angada that repository of wisdom and strength may be sent as an envoy to Ravana, sri Rama asked Angada to go to lanka and said i need not give you any elaborate instruction, talk with enemy that adavnce my cause and serve interest at the same time,

Bowing to he Lord's command and adoring his feet, Angada arose and said He alone is an ocean of virtues, on whom you shower your grace, Adoring Lord's feet-bowed his head and departed,

Sri Rama Smiled to hear, looking towards south and Said Vibhishan-see how clouds are gathering fast and lightning flashes, Vibhishan Said-on the top of Lanka-there stand a hall, Ravana is witnessing a dancing contest, Ornaments in Queen's ear flashes light.

Lord Smile to perceive arrogance of Ravana, strung his Bow and fitted an arrow to the string with a shaft, struck Ravana's umbrella and crowns as well as Mandodari's ear drops, which fell to ground before very eyes of all but none could know the mystery, having performed this starting feat Sri Rama's shaft came back, everyone alarmed to see this great interruption,

No Earthquake nor any gust of wind nor weapon or missile yet it happened, anxiety lodged in heart of Mandodary-with tears in eyes she Said to Ravana,

My beloved, cease hostility with Rama-believe my words that Sri Rama himself is manifested in the form of this universe, Lord Shiva is his Ego, Brahma his reason, Moon his mind, Vishnu his faculty, cease hostility with him and cultivate devotion to the feet of sri Rama,

Shadow of the earth

Ravana Said, my son you have proved yourself to be a prickly plant at the root of a bamboo, on hearing harsh words he returned to home,

In the evening Ravana went to the most wonderful hall on the highest level to enjoy-he had most powerful foe threatening at his door yet he had no anxiety or fear,

Sri Rama looking towards the east, saw the moon risen above horizon, said-just look at the moon, how undaunted like king of beasts he appears,

Sugreeva Said-Lord Shadow of the earth is seen in the moon, Hanuman said-moon is your servant, your image enshrined in his heart that appear as  a dark patch,

face to face in battle field

Thereupon Ravana lifted Mandodary and began to harp on his glory, assured her in many ways and once more went and sat in his council-chamber, asked his ministers-how shall we proceed to fight enemy,

Ministers Replied, why do you ask it again and again, what is there to afraid of, which should engage our thought-human beings, monkeys and bears are our food,

Hearing these words his son Prahasta said with join palms---transgress not the bounds of propriety, your counselors possess very little wit, stupid ministers tell you that which pleasing to their master but truth, listen to my sound advice,

First send envoy to sri Rama, afterwards-when you have restored Janaki, make friend with him, if he withdraws on receiving back his consort, you should have no more quarrel with him, otherwise meet him face to face in battle field,

Mandodary Said-bowing your head at sri Rama's lotus feet restore Janaki to him, handing over the kingdom to your son and retiring to the forest, worship sri Rama,

If you accept my advice, my lord, your fair and exceeding holy renown shall spread through all the three spheres, so saying she clasped him by feet with tears in eyes and trembling in every limbs,

She added-My Lord-worship Sri Rama so that my union may last till eternity,

When Mandodary heard that Lord had arrived and bridged ocean in mere sport, she took her spouse by hand, lead him to her own palace and spoke him in most sweet accents, bowing his head at his feet and said,

Listen to my words without getting angry, my beloved,

One should enter into hostility with him alone whom one may be able to conquer by wit or physical force,

Rama has descended on earth in order to relieve it of its burden, my lord-you should not oppose him who is the master of time, fate and the soul,

The Lord encamped Himself across the ocean and commanded all the monkeys to go and regale themselves on the delightful fruit and roots,

The demons-those who lost their nose and ears went and related everything to Ravana, the moment he heard that the sea had been bridged,

What-has he really bridged the waves, billows, the sea, the ocean, the main, the deep, the brine,

Ravana realizing his own nervousness, he laughed and left for his Palace,

Obeisance to Propitious Shiva, the supreme personality that one, the primordial cause of the universe, from whom the universe comes into being, by whom it is sustained and into whom it dissolves,

Sri Rama's word gladdened the heart of all and the great sages return to their hermitage,

It was might of sri Rama that rocks floated on the ocean, Having completed the Bridge Lord glad at heart to see, army Marched it was a sight beyond words, Army advanced on receiving the Lord's Command,

On hearing the command the monkeys and bear set forth hurrahing and exclaiming-Glory to Sri Rama,

They would lift up gigantic trees and mountains in mere sport and bring them to Nala and Nila, who in their turn carefully set to build the bridge,

Sri Rama-when saw the exceedingly beautiful construction of Bridge, smiled and observed thus, this is most beautiful and excellent spot, will stall an emblem of Shiva Here,

Hearing this monkey dispatched a number of messengers who invited and fetched all the great sages, Having Installed an emblem, worshiped it solemnity-said-No one Else is so dear to me as Shiva,

On hearing the ocean words Sri Rama called his counselors and spoke to them-why delay now, Build the bridge-so that army my cross over,

Jamavant Said your name itself, my lord, is a bridge by ascending which men cross over the ocean of mundane existence, will take no time to cross the insignificant sea,

Hanuman added, Glory of Lord is a great submarine fire that had long since sucked up the water of the ocean, but filled again by the flood of tears shed by your enemies wives, that is how it came to be salty in taste,

Sri Rama smiled, Jambavan called Nala and Nila, related to them the whole story, calling to mind the glory of Sri Rama start building the Bridge,

When the Lord fitted the terrible arrow to his Bow, a blazing fire broke out in the heart of the ocean, God presiding over the ocean found creature burning, he gave up his pride and assuming the form of a Brahman, came with a gold plate filled with all kinds of jewels, clasped the feet of lord in dismay, Said

Forgive me, O Lord-of my faults. all the five are dull by nature, it is Your Maya which brought them forth for the purpose of creation under impulse from you, I shall be dried up and the army will crss but will bring no credit to me, i shall do at once what pleases to you,

You have two monkeys in your army, got a boon in their childhood from a sage, touched by them even huge mountians will float on the ocean by your glory, My lord have ocean bridged-so that this glorious achievement of yours may be sung in all the three spheres of creation, with this arrow exterminate a race of criminals inhabiting my northern coast, On hearing this Sri Rama, immediately relieved the agony of ocean's heart, the god rejoiced and gratified to witness Sri Rama's astounding might and valor, ocean took his leave,

The god presiding over the ocean left for his home, the Story of Sri Rama's exploits in this chapter which wipes out the impurities of Kali age, has been sung by Sri Tulsidas according to his lights, the excellence of Sri Rama are an abode of delight, a panacea for all doubts and unfailing rededy for sorrow, therefore, giving up all other hope and faith, O Manasa[mind] ever sing abd hear them,

Although three days had elapsed, the crass ocean would not answer the Lord's prayer, Sri Rama thereupon indignantly said

There can be no friendship without inspiring fear,

Bring my bow and arrows, i will dry up the ocean,

Supplication before an idiot, friendship with a rough, inculcating liberality on a born miser taking wisdom to one steeped in worldliness,

Ravana was dismayed at heart as he listened to the above message, but wore a feigned smile on his face and spoke aloud for all to hear, the younger hermit's grandiloquence is just like an attempt of a man lying on the ground to clutch with hands the vault of heaven,

Suka said-my lord giving up haughtiness take every word of it as true, avoid clash with Rama, is lord of the entire universe, Restore Sita to sri Rama, Ravana kicked him , Suka bowed his head at Ravana's feet and proceeded to the place where the Rama was,

Making obeisance to Sri Rama-he told all about himself and by sri Rama's Grace recovered his original state, he was an enlighten sage, it was by the curse of Sage agustya that he had transformed into a demon,

Adoring sri Rama's feet again and again the sage returned to his Hermitage,

Even though-my friend-you have no craving, my sight in this world never fails to beings its reward, So Saying Lord Rama applied on his forehead the sacred mark of SOVEREIGNTY and a copious shower of flowers reined down from the heavens, Lord Save the Vibhishan and conferred on him with much diffidence the same fortune which lord Shiva has bestowed on Ravana after offering his ten heads in a sacrifice,

Vibhishan Said-Lord although your arrow itself will dry up innumerable oceans yet propriety demands that you should approach the ocean and request to all fair passage, the presiding deity of ocean is an ancestor of yours, lord said friend you have suggested an excellent plan-let us try, lord bowed his head and greeted the ocean then spreading some Kusha grass on the shore, took his seat  thereupon,

Assuming false appearance of monkeys spies from Ravana witnessed all the doings of Sri Rama-they applauded Sri Rama's amiability and forget their disguise, monkeys recognize them,Laxmana called them near and moved pity, immediately had them released with note for Ravana, Surrender Sita and make peace or your hour is come,  

Bowing their head at Laxmana feet they reached at and relates the truth of that camp. All the monkeys and bears are born warriors and beside they have Lord Rama, they can conquer in battle even millions of Yamas, Message of Laxmana is beguiling with flattering words, O fool, do not bring your race to utter ruin, by courting enmity with Rama you will not be spared even though you seek the protection of Vishnu, Brahma or shiva, therefore abandoning the pride, like our brother, either seek refuge in lotus feet of Rama as a bee or be consumed with your family like a moth into the fire of sri Rama's wrath

Dwelling in my capital you cherish love for hermits, if so go and join with Them and kicked him, Taking his ministers with him Vibhishan departed, Said-I will go today and behold with these eyes of mine, those very feet,Cherishing such fond expectation Vibhishan crossed over,

Sugreeva approached Lord that Ravana's brother has come to see you-sri Rama said, i will not abandon even the murderer of myriads of Brahmans if he seeks refuge in me, Vibhishan to Lord-having heard wit my own ears of your renown i have come to you with belief that you dissipates the fear of birth and rebirth, save me-Save Me, When the Lord saw Vibhishan prostrate, he immediately started up much delighted, taking him in his long arms clasped him to his bosom, tell me king of Lanka, is all well with you,

Vibhishan Said-There can be no happiness for a creature nor can its mind know any peace even in dream, so long as it does not relinquish desire which is an abode of sorrow and adore Sri Ram, i am blessed beyond measure, O all gracious and blissful Rama, in that i have beheld with my own eyes the lotus feet which are worthy of adoration even to Brahma and Shiva, Lord Said-listen my friend i tell you my nature, if a man, even though he has been an enemy to the whole world comes terror stricken to me, seeking his protection and discarding vanity, infatuation, hypocrisy and traceries of various kinds, i speedily make the very like of a saint,

The ties of affection that binds man are like so many threads which a pious soul gathers up and twists into a string wherewith he binds his soul to my feet, looks upon all with same eye, no craving and mind free from joy-grief and sorrow, a saint of this description abides in my heart, only saints of your type are dear to me, for the sake of none else do i body myself forth, THOSE MEN WHO WORSHIP ME IN MY PERSONAL FORM, ARE INTENT ON DOING GOOD TO OTHERS, FIRMLY TREAD THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND STEADFAST IN THEIR VOW AND DEVOTED TO THE FEET OF THE BRAHMANS ARE DEAR TO ME AS LIFE,

He Said to Ravana, your younger brother is very ornament of wisdom, take to heart what Vibhishan says,

Ravana shout that both these fools glorify the enemy, is there anyone who remove them out,

Vibhishan again requested Ravana with joined palms, clasped your feet i beseech you, grant this prayer of mine as a token of affection for me, restore Sita to Rama so that no harm may come to you,

Abjuring all these adore Sri Rama, whom saints worship,

On being approached, he forsakes not even who has incurred sin by wishing ill of whole world, Again and again i fall at your feet and pray you, abandoning pride adore Sri Rama,

Such is a contingency that presented itself before Ravana,

Vibhishan said_since your gracious Majesty has asked my opinion, i tender it according to my lights,

Let him who seek after his death and joy of various kinds turn his eyes away from the brow of another's wife even as one should refuge to see the moon of fourth night to the brighter half,

As he occupied his royal seat, ask advice from counselors, they laughed and submitted when you conquered gods and demons-of what account then can men and monkeys,

Ever since Hanuman left after burning Down Lanka, the demons had lived in constant terror,

When Mandodary heard from her spies what citizen were saying, felt much pertuated to meet her Lord Ravana, Said

My Lord avoid all strive with sri Hari, take my words for your welfare, call one of your minster and send back him Sita,

Rama's arrows are like a swarm of serpents while the demon host can only compare with frog-giving up obstinacy device some means of safety before the serpents devour them,

The Lord then summoned Sugreeva and said,

Make preparations for the march, why should we terry any longer,

Sugreeva quickly summoned the commanders, they presented themselves in multitudes, were all unequaled in strength,

The mighty bears and monkeys bowed their head at the lotus feet of lord, and roared, who could adequately describe the army as it marched with its countless monkeys and bears roaring, no weapon other than sharp claws, they carried rocks and trees, continuing his march this way the all merciful arrived at the sea shore and halted there,

Then Lord took him by hand and seated him very close to him, tell me Hanuman-how could you burn Ravana's Stronghold lanka,

Lord Said, DO YOU THINK ANYONE WHO DEPENDS ON ME can ever dream of adversity,

Hanuman said, there is no misfortune other than ceasing to remember and adore you,

Sri Rama said-No One endowed with a body, a god, human, sage----has put me under such oblation, Hanuman, as you have obligation-----listen o my son---i have thought over the question and concluded that the debt which i own you cannot be repaid,

When i was laving, she gave me this jewel, Rama took it and pressed it to his bosom,

My Lord with tears in her eyes Janaka's daughter uttered the few words, embrace the feet of my lord and his brother crying, O befriender of distressed, reliever of suppliant agony, i am devoted to your feet in thought words and deeds, yet for what offence, my lord-you have forsaken me,

I do admit one fault of mine, that my life did not depart the moment i was separated from you, is the fault of my eyes which forcible prevent my life from escaping,

Each single moment, o fountain of mercy, passes like an age to her, therefore march quickly, my lord-vanquishing the miscrient crew by your mighty arm, recover Her,

It is today that our birth has been consummated, achievements of Sri Hanuman cannot be described even with a thousand tongues,

Jambvant then related to the lord the charming exploits of Hanuman,

All merciful felt delighted in heart to hear them and in His joy He clasped Hanuman once more to his bosom,

Tell me dear Hanuman, how does Janaka's daughter pass her days and sustain her life, your Name keeps watch night and day, while her continued thought of you acts as a pair of doors, she has her eyes fastened on her own feet, her life thus find no outlet whereby to escape,

Sri Rama saw the monkey approaching with their mission duly accomplished,

He was particularly delighted at heart-the two brothers were seated on a crystal rock and all monkeys went and fell at their feet,

The all merciful lord embraced them all with affection and asked their welfare,

Taking a leap across the ocean he reached the opposite shore and greeted his fellow monkeys,

They all met him and feel delighted as a fish writhing with agony for lack of water would feel on getting it,

Then they gladly proceed to Sri Rama-asking and telling the latest events, Sugreeva rejoiced to hear this, drawing near they all bowed their head, Sugreeva received them all most cordially and enquired,

They said-it is Sri Hanuman-who did everything and saved life of the whole monkey host,

On hearing Ravana's command, demons set fire to Hanuman's tail, He saw the fire blazing, assumed a utterly diminutive size, at that moment impelled by god, all 49 winds began to bluster, Hanuman ran and sprang from palace to palace, the city was all blaze, Hanuman went unscathed because he was the messenger of him who created fire itself,

After quenching his tail, relieving fatigue he re-assumed diminutive form, and stood before Sita with joined palm, Be pleased mother to give me some token, such as lord gave me, thereupon unfastened the jewel on her hand and gave it to son, convey my obeisance to lord, dear son, my lord is all sufficient yet recalling your vow of kindness to the afflicted, relieve, o master, my grievous distress,

Repeat to him episode of jayant, Now you speak of going my son, your sight had brought relief to my heavy heart, i have before me now the same dreary days and weary nights,

Reassuring Sri Sita, he consoled her in many ways and bowing his head at her lotus feet, set forth to meet sri Rama,

I have accomplished all that i had to, my mother, for your blessing, is unfailing, I am hungry-she said-this grove is guarded by most valiant and mighty demons, Hanuman said i am not afraid of them, seeing the Monkey perfect in strength and wit, Janaki said Go my son, enjoy luscious fruit with heart fixed at Rama,

Hanuman roared and slaughtered the whole demon host, some escaped and cried, O lord the monkey is too strong for us, Ravana flew into rage when heard death of his son, sent meghanath-kill not but binds him, He when failed the way else-ultimately used Brahmashtra, to respect the glory of Brahmashtra sri Hanuman allowed him to be bound, Ravana laughed and railed at him, y whose might have you wrought the destruction of grove,

By an iota of whose might you were able to conquer the entire creation, whose beloved spouse has been stolen by you, know me to be his envoy, never antagonize him who is source of terror even to death, lord Rama is protector of suppliant and ocean of compassion, forgetting your offences will give you shelter if you put turn to him,

I tell you on oath, there is none to save him who is oppose to Sri Rama, abandon pride, adore sri Rama, Ravana said why not some of you quickly kill this fool, Demons rushed forward to kill him but Sri Vubhishan said envoy must not be punished, some other way, Ravana said, all right sent back mutilated, is fond of his tail-swath his tail with rags socked in oil then set to fire,

Had the Rama any news about you, would not have tarried, Mother i take you to sri Rama this very moment but not have orders from Lord, Rama arrives here with troops of monkeys, slaughtering the demons will take you away,

Sita said, but my son all the monkeys must be pygmies like you, i have grave misgivings, on hearing this Hanuman revaeled his Natural form, colossal as a mountain of gold, terrible in battle-with great might and full of valor,

Hanuman said, listen Mother monkeys possess no great strength or intelligence either but through the might of Sri Rama, Sita felt gratified at heart, gave him blessings,

May you become a repository of strength and virtue, dear child may you ever immune from old age and death, prove to be the storehouse of good qualities my son, May the lord be gracious to you, herewith Hanuman utterly overwhelmed with emotion, again and again bow at the feet of Sri Sita,

Everything to me has become its very reverse, fresh and tender leaves on the tree look like tongues of fire, night appears as dreadful as the night of final dissolution and moon scorches like Sun, bed of lotuses are like so many spears planted, rain cloud pour boiling oil as it were,

Once agony is assuaged to some extend even by speaking of it-but to whom shall i speak,

The reality about the cord of love that binds you and me, dear, is known to my soul alone, my soul ever abides in you, know it to be the essence of my love,-----the moment she heard lord's message-she lost all consciousness of her body, Hanuman Said-mother collect your body and fix your thought on Sri Rama, shake off all faint heartedness on my words-host of demons are like so many moths while the shafts of Lord are like flames, have courage in your heart, Mother-take the demons as consumed,

Perceiving him to be  a devotee of sri Hari She developed an intense affection for Hanuman, her eyes filled with tears and a thrill ran through her Body,

To me who was being drowned in the ocean of desolation, Dear Hanuman, you have come as  a veritable bark, now tell me-i adjure you-the welfare of sri Rama and his younger brother, wherefore has the tendered hearted Rama become so hard hearted,

Will my eyes, dear Hanuman-be ever gladdened by the sight of His Swarthy and delicate limbs, words failed her and her eyes swam with tears, O My Lord-YOU Have forgotten me, Seeing Sita distressed Hanuman said in soft and polite ascents-Lord and his younger brother are both well-mother-except for the fact that the all merciful is sorrowful because of your Sorrow,

Please do not feel vexed at heart-mother-Sri Rama loves you twice as much as you love him, Mother compose your self now and hear the message of sri Rama, even as he uttered these words, Hanuman's voice was chocked with emotion and his eyes filled with tears,

The moment seemed liked an age to Hanuman as he beheld Sita extremely distressed, taking thought within self-dropped down the signet ring,  As though the Ashok tree had thrown a spark, Sita sprang up with joy and took it in her hand,

She saw charming Ring with name of Rama, recognize it with wonder, agitated at heart, who can conquer the invincible Rama and such a ring cannot be prepared through Maya, indulged in fancies of various kinds, Hanuman spoke in honeyed accents and began to recount Praise of sri Rama,

The moment they reached sita's ears her grief took flight, she listened with soul, while Hanuman relate the story from beginning, Sita said-who has told this tale like nectar-not reveal, thereupon Hanuman drew near her, Hanuman Said I am Sri Rama's messenger, Mother Janaki, i solemnly swear by all merciful lord himself, ring has been brought by me, O Mother, sri Rama gave it to me as a token for you,

Sita asked-tell me what brought this fellowship between a man and a monkey, Hanuman explained all, As she heard Hanuman's affectionate words her soul trusted him and she recognize him to be a servant of all merciful Rama,

Then they all dispersed, Sita anxiously thought within herself, at the end of a long month this monster will slay me,

With Joined palm she said to Trijata, Mother you are my only companion in adversity, devise some mean whereby i may cast off this body,  hard to bear, can no longer endured, bring wood-put up pyre, set fire to it,

Thus prove the genuineness of my love for the lord, Trijata said-listen of tender lady, no fire can be had at night, so saying she left,

Sita said to herself that heaven itself has turned hostile to me, sparks of fire visibly seen in the heavens but not a single star drops to the earth.

Ravana returned to his palace while host of fiendesses in Asoka grove assumed various kinds of hideous forms and intimidated Sita,

One demoness Trijata by name was devoted to feet of sri Rama, perfect in spiritual wisdom, summoned all her dream and exhorted them to serve Sita thus bless themselves,

In My dream a monkey burnt Lanka and the whole demon and the whole demon host was killed.

I saw ravana mounted on donkey. hand chopped, went his way to south, Lanka has passed into hands of Vibhishan, Sri Rama victory was proclaimed, demonesses were all dismayed to hear words and fell at the feet of Sita,

Sita Said-O Chandrahas-Take away the burning anguish of my heart caused by the fire of separation from lord,

You possess a cool, sharp and good blade, therefore relieve the burden of my sorrow,

On hearing these words he rushed forward to kill her, it was Queen Mandodary who intervened and pacified him with words of good counsel,

Summoning all the demonesses posted there-he said-go and intimidate Sita in every way, if she does not accept my advice in a month's time i will draw my sword and beheaded her,

Concealing himself among the leaves of a tree he mused within himself, at that moment Ravana arrived, Said-O beautiful and wise lady-i make Mandodary and all other queens your handmaids, i swear, provided you cast your look at me only once.

Interposing a blade of grass between herself and the Ravana, she Said-listen o ten headed monster, can a lotus ever be expand in the glow of a fire lily, ponder this at heart, You have no idea about Sri Rama's shafts, O wretch  you carried me off at a time where there was none by my side, yet you do not feel ashamed,

Hearing himself likened to a glow worn and Sri Rama compared with the sun, exasperated harsh  words. the monster drew out his sword and said, Sita-you have insulted me, i will cut off your head, if not obey my command at once-or else you lose your life,

My Lord's arms is lovely as a string of a blue lotuses and shapely and long as the trunk of an elephant, o monster, either that arms or that sword will have my neck----hear this my solemn vow,

Assuming the same form as he had taken before, he repaired to the Ashoka Grove where Sita dwelt,

He mentally bowed to Her as soon as he saw her, she had been squatting away the hours of the night,

Emaciated in body she wore a single braid of matted hair, repeated to herself the list of Sri Rama's excellences,

 Eyes fixed on her feet, mind on sri Rama's lotus feet, Hanuman felt sad to see Janaka's daughter sad,

Sri Hanuman Said, Listen Vibhishan-the lord is ever affectionate to his servants, for such is his wont,

Tell me what superior Birth can i claim-a frivolous monkey vile in every-way,

listen, my friend, though i am wretched,  Sri Rama has shown grace even to me,

Then Vibhishan fully narrated How Sita had been living there, Thereupon Hanuman said, i should like to Mother Sita-Vibhishan fully explained to him the method of seeing Her and Hanuman Take leave of Vibhishan and Proceeded.

Hear, sri Hanuman-how i am living here, my plight is similar to that of poor tongue that lives in midst of the teeth,

Will My Lord, ever show His grace to me, knowing me to be master-less,

Endowed as i am with sinful demonic form, i am incapable of doing my starving for God realization, and my heart cherishes no love for the lord's lotus feet,

But I am confident, Hanuman, that Sri Rama will shower his grace on me, for one can never meet a saint without Sri Hari's grace. it is grace of sri Rama that you have blessed me with your sight unsolicited,

Having thus resolved he assumed the form of a Brahman and accosted Vibhishan,

As soon as he heard Hanuman's words he rose and came where the later was,

bowing low, he enquired after the Brahman's Welfare, tell me all about you, holy sir-are you one of Sri Hari's own servants, My heart is filled with exceeding love at your sight, or you Sri Rama himself, a loving friend of the poor, who have come to bless me,

Thereupon Hanuman told all about Sri Rama and disclosed his identity as well, The Moment Vibhishan heard this a thrill ran through the body of both and they transported with joy at the thought of Sri Rama,

Sri Hanuman ransacked every mansion then made his way to Ravana's Palace, did not find Sita there,

He then noticed a mansion that decorated with Bhakti of sri Rama, Hanuman rejoiced to see cluster of young Tulsi Plants there,

sri Hanuman Thought to himself, Lanka is the abode of a gang of demons, how could a pious man take up his residence here, While he was reasoning within himself, Vibhishan woke up and start chanting the Name of Sri Rama,

Sri Hanuman was delighted at heart to find such a virtuous soul, I shall make acquaintance with him, for one's cause would never suffer at the hands of a good Man,

In one scale of balance, dear son, Put together the delights of heaven and bliss of final beatitude,

But they will be outweighed by a moment's joy derived from communion with the saints,

Enter the city with the Lord of Ayodhya in your heart and accomplish all your business,

Poison is transformed into nectar, foe turn friends, the ocean contracts itself to the size of a cow's footprint, fire becomes cool and mount Meru, O Garuda-appears like a grain of sand to whom Sri Rama cast his benign look,

She Said-fool have you not been able to know who i am, every thief hereabout is my food, Sri Hanuman dealt her with a blow with his fist that toppled down vomiting blood, then she recovering herself, stood up, and joining her palms, humbly addressed Him,
