When Rama Saw Vibhishan falling prostrate with these words, immediately took him in his arms, and clasped to his bosom, 

Rama seated him beside himself and asked addressing as O king of Lanka, if all is well with you and your family, as you were placed in vicious surroundings,

In either case, bring him here, said merciful Rama, monkeys respectfully placed Vibhishan ahead and proceeded to Rama, Vibhishan beheld Rama from a distance the two brothers, 

Again beheld Rama, the home of beauty, stopped winking the eyes of all, again beheld Lord, who had exceptionally long arms, red lotus-like eyes, swarthy limbs that rid the suppliant of his fear,

Lion-like shoulders with broad chests exercised great charm, while his countenance bewitched the minds of countless cupids, the sight brought tears to his eyes, and a deep thrill ran to his body,

He composed the mind and spoke in gentle accents, My Lord I am Ravna'a brother, born in demon race with a body that has inertia and ignorance in conjunct along with natural affinity to sins even as own is fond of darkness,

Said Rama, I will abandon even the murderer of myriads of Brahmans, if he seeks refuge in me, 

The moment a creature turns its face towards me the sin incurred by it through millions of lives is washed away,

A sinner by his very nature is averse to my worship, Had Vibhishan been wicked at heart and could ever dare to approach me,

I have an aversion to duplicity, wiles, and censoriousness, even if Ravana has sent him to find out our secrets, we have nothing to fear, Laxman can dispose of all the race of demons in short, if he has sought shelter with me out of fear, I WILL CHERISH HIM AS MY OWN LIFE.

Cherishing such fond experiences Vibhishana instantly crossed over to the other side of the ocean where Rama was encamped with his host, when monkeys saw him, they took him for some special messenger of the enemy, detaining him outside, and approached Sugreeva, 

Sugreeva reported to Lord Rama that Ravana's brother had come to see you, Lord asked Vibhishan what he thought about it, and he replied wiles of these demons are beyond comprehension, and does not know wherefore he has come, better to imprison him, 

Said Rama, you have turned out a wise course but my vow is to dispel all fears from the mind of those who seek refuge in me, Hanuman rejoiced to hear such words from the Lord,

Said Rama, those who forsake a suppliant apprehending evil from him are vile and sinful their very sight is abominable,

No sooner had Vibhishan left with these words than the doom of them all was sealed, 

Disrespect to a saint robs one of all blessings, The moment Ravana abandoned Vibhishana, he lost all his glory, Vibhishan however proceeded to Rama,

On reaching there will behold the lotus feet of Rama that delight to the devotees, so saying to himself, he moves on,

I will go today and presently behold with these eyes of mine those very feet in whose wooden sandals Bharata's mind remains absorbed,

Said Vibhishan, clasping your feet I beseech you, grant this prayer of mine as a token of affection for me, restore Sita to Rama so that no harm may come to you, 

He spoke wisdom that was in truth with ancient scripture but failed to convince Ravana, Ravana rose in fury as he heard him, and said wretch your death is imminent now, Live on my generosity and keep favors for the enemy,

So he kicked Vibhishan, in turn again and again tried to hold Ravana's feet, and then Ravna expelled him stripping him of his all powers, once more Vibhishan said you are as my father, it well even if you have beaten me and then taking his ministers along he departed saying so_

Sri Rama is true to his resolve and all-powerful while your councilors are all doomed, I, therefore, now betake myself to the Rama,

Said Vibhishan, Again and again, I pray you, Ravana, abandon pride, infatuation, and arrogance, and adore Rama

Sage Pulastya our grandfather had sent this message to us through a disciple, availing myself of this golden opportunity, dear brother, I have immediately conveyed it to you,

Ravana had a very old sagacious minister Malyavan, he felt much gratified to hear and said to Ravana, your younger brother is very ornament of wisdom thereby take to heart his sayings, 

Loud Ravana both these fools are glorifying enemies, remove them out of my sight, Malavan thereupon returned to his home but Vibhishan again tried to convince Ravana through his version, where there is wisdom and prosperity of every kind reigns where there is unwisdom, misfortune is inevitable, mind it dear brother Sita is a very night of destruction for demon race, why you are so fond of Sita,

Rama is the unborn God, all-pervading, invincible, without beginning or end, an ocean of compassion, assumed a human form being for the good of EARTH, BRAHMAN, COW, and gods, 

Listen, brother, He delights his devotees and breaks the ranks of impious and is a champion of Vedas and true religion, Giving up enmity with him, bow your head to him, Rama relieves the distress of those who seek refuge in him, 

Rama is a disinterested friend of all, on being approached, he forsakes not even him who has incurred sin by wishing ill to the whole world, Bear this in mind Ravana, the same lord whose name destroys the threefold agony has manifested himself in human form,

fourth night of the bright half of a lunar month

It was such a contingency that itself presented before Ravana, they all extolled him only on his face,

Perceiving it to be an opportune hour, Vibhishan, Ravana's younger brother arrived, bowed his head at the feet of Ravana, once more acquired his seat, when ordered to speak, addressed by his own light, 

As Your gracious Majesty has asked me my opinion, I tender it, according to my light and my interest, let him who seeks after his welfare, good reputation, wisdom, and a good destiny hereafter and joys of various kinds turn his eyes away from the brow of another's wife even one should refuse the see the Moon on the fourth night of the bright half of a lunar month,

Even though a man happened to be the sole lord of the fourteen spheres, he would certainly fall if he turned hostile to living beings, no one will speak well of a man who has the slightest advance even if he were an ocean of virtues and cleaver too,

Rama's arrows are like a swarm of serpents, while the demon host can only compare with frogs, therefore giving up obstinacy, devise some means of safety, before the serpents devour them, 

As Ravana heard Mandodry's admonition, he roared with laughter, and said, a woman is timorous by nature, entertain fear even auspiciousness because of weak mind, so saying embraced her,

If the monkeys come, demons will feast on them, be brave to me my consort, and discard fear, and went fort in his assembly, and raise the issue for suggestion, counselors speak in favor of Ravana, 

When a minister, a physician, and a religious preceptor, These three use pleasing words from fear or hope of reward, The result is that dominion, health, and faith,

 All the three vanish like anything,

Mandodary the principal queen heard from her female spies what the citizens were saying, felt much perpetuated, meeting her Lord in seclusion, fell at his feet and with joined palms addressed him in polite words,

My Lord, avoid all strife with Sri Hari, take my words as salutary advice if you seek your welfare, call one of your ministers and send back with him the consort of Rama, the very thought of whose messenger's doing makes the wife of the demons miscarry, as Sita has come here as the bane of your race unless you return Sita not even Shiva nd Brahma can be of any good to you,

The mighty monkeys and bears bowed their head to the lotus feet of Lord and roared, Ramasurveyed the whole monkey host and cast on them his gracious eyes, it were a huge mountain equipped with wings,

Rama then sallied forth glad at heart and many were delightful and auspicious omens that occurred to him, it was the fitness of the things that good omen appears at the time of his departure on an expedition, 

There Sita comes to know of the Lord's march through positive omens and her intuition within herself, Ravana experienced all the bad omens on that occasion, 

Earth rocked, the elephants of the eight cardinal points trumpeted, and god and their allies were delighted the army of Rama was marching ahead like anything, the serpent holding the earth was in anxiety and looking back as if writing a glorious epic of time, in a short while Rama reached at that shore with his warriors,

On hearing the words of the Lord the whole host of monkeys cried, Glory, glory, all glory to the gracious Lord, the fountain of bliss,

The Lord then summoned Sugreeva and said to make preparations for the march, Sugreeva quickly summoned the commanders of the various troops and they presented themselves in multitudes, troops though varying in colors but were all unequalled in strength,

That I should have been able to leap across the ocean, burn the gold city, kill the demon host, and lay waste Ashoka groove was all due to your might, no credit, my lord, is due to me for the same,

Nothing is unattainable to him who enjoys your grace, through your might a mere shred of cotton can surely burn a submarine fire,

Therefore be pleased, my lord, to grand the unceasing devotion, which is a source of supreme blessing, when the lord heard the artless speech of Hanuma, he said, be it so,

Again and again, Rama sought to raise him up, was so absorbed in love that he would not rise, the lotus hand of the Lord rested on his head, 

Shiva was overcome with emotion as he called to mind Hanuma's enviable lot, but recovering himself, Shiva resumed the most charming narratives, 

Rama lifted up Hanuman and clasped him to his bosom, then he took him by the hand and seated him very close to him, 

Asked Rama, tell me Hanuman how could you burn Ravana's stronghold of Lanka, the most impregnable fortress,

Rama said, no one endowed with a body, a god, a human, a being, a sage, has put me under such obligation, Hanuman as you have done,

Again and again, as the protector of the gods gazed on Hanuman his eyes filled with tears, and his body was overpowered with a thrill of emotion,

Even as Hanuman listened to the words of his Lord and gazed at his countenance he experienced a thrill of joy all over his body and fell at the feet of his Lord with love  and crying save me, save me,

Said Hanuman, Sita's distress is so overwhelmingly great and you are so compassionate to the afflicted, that is better not to describe it,

Each single moment, O fountain of mercy, passes like an age to her, therefore march quickly, My Lord, and vanquished the crew by your mighty arm, recover her,

As Rama heard Sita's agony, tears rushed to his eyes, The recovering self said the Rama, Do you think anyone who depends on me can ever dream of adversity, 

Said Hanuman, there is no misfortune other than ceasing to remember and adore you, of what account are the demons to you, routing the enemy you will surely bring back Sita,

 Jai Sri Ram

Your name keeps watch night and day, while her continued thought of you acts as a pair of closed doors,

She has her eyes fastened on her own feet, her life thus finds no outlet whereby to escape,

When I was leaving, She gave me this jewel from the top of her head, Lord took it and pressed it to his bosom, 

My Lord, with tears in both of her eyes she uttered the following words, embrace the feet of my lord and his younger brother crying, O befriender of the distressed, reliever of the suppliant's agony, I am devoted to your lotus feet in thought words and deeds, yet for what offense, my lord has forsaken me, I do admit one fault of mine, that my life did not depart the moment I was separated from you, That however my Lord is the fault of my eyes which forcefully prevent my life from escaping, The agony of separation from you is like a fire, my sighs fan it as a gust of wind and in between stand my body like a heap of cotton, which would have been consumed in an instant, but my eyes in their own interest rain a flood of tears that is why the body fails to catch the fire of dissolution,

He wore a cheerful countenance and his body shone with a brilliance that left no doubt in their mind that he had executed Sri Rama's commission, 

They all met and felt delighted and proceeded to See Rama, on their way they met Sugreeva, who joined them to reach Rama,

They reached at and bowed to him, Rama received them all cordially and enquired about their welfare, they said it is well  with us, now we have seen your feet, By your grace accomplished with remarkable success, It is Hanuman, your majesty, who did it all well, 

Rama embraced them all, Jambvaan related the things in detail and said O Lord, He on whom You bestow your blessings is ever lucky and he alone is virtuous, everything has turned well by your grace, all merciful felt delighted at heart to hear and in joy clasped Hanuman once more, Asked him how does Sita pass her days and sustain her life,

Tell me, Hanuman, how can I preserve my life, for you too, now speak of going, 

Your sight had brought relief to my heavy heart, I have before me now the same deary days and weary nights, 

Reassuring Sita Hanuman consoled her in many ways and bowing his head at her lotus feet, set forth to meet Rama,

While leaving he roared aloud with such a terrible noise that the wives of the demons miscarried, taking a leap across the ocean he reached the opposite shore and greeted the fellow monkeys with shrill cries of joy, they were all delighted to see Hanuman and felt as if they had been born anew,

After quenching his tail and relieving his fatigue he assumed the diminutive form and stood before Sita with joined palms, 

Be pleased Mother, to give me some token, such as the Lord Gave me, Sita thereupon unfastened the jewel on her head and gave it to Hanuman, who gladly received it, 

Said Sita, dear son, convey my message to Him with these words, my lord is all-sufficient, yet recalling your vow of kindness to the afflicted, relieve O master, my grievous distress, 

Repeal to him my son, the episode of Indra's son Jayanta reminds the lord of the might of his arrow and how he turned a straw into a Brahmastra to kill that Jayanta in the form of a crook crow, if the lord does not arrive here within a month, he will not find me anymore,

Although Hanuman gave Ravana exceedingly advice, full of devotion, discretion, dispassion, and wisdom Ravana laughed and said, we have found a most wise Guru, death hangs on your head O wretch monkey,

Hanuman Said just the contrary is going to happen, sure you are under some mental illusion, As Ravana heard these words he ran to kill Hanuman, and intervened by Vibhishan his younger brother, said the monkey was just a messenger, who did not deserve to e killed being here to give a message if to punish, punish some other way,

All right, said the Ravana, the monkey may be sent back mutilated, is very fond of his tail, swath his tail with rages sacked in oil and then set fire, the monkey will go back and bring his master along with, 

All arrangements were made to wet the tail of the monkey but Hanuman mystically increased his tail beyond measure and created a scarcity of material to fire his tail, at last his tail was put on fire, and Hanuman saw the fire blazing and immediately assumed utterly diminutive size slipping out of all bonds and impelled by the gog and forty-nine winds began to bluster, Now Hanuman take the sixe the put whole Lanka to put on blaze, in short the whole Lanka turn to ashes but the palace of Vibhishan and a few saintly souls,

Sri Rama, the slayer of Khara, is the protector of the suppliant and an ocean of compassion, Forgiving your offense, he will give you shelter if you turn to him for protection, 

Install the image of Rama's lotus feet in your heart and enjoy the sovereignty of Lanka, The Glory of sage Pulastya will shine, ponder, and see for yourself casting aside arrogance and infatuation,  take refuge in him to safeguard yourself,

Lady without cloth does not command herself even though adorned with all kinds of jewels and fortune and lordship of man who is hostile to Rama eventually leaves him even if they stay a while, and as good as lost if acquired a anew, 

There is non to save him who is opposed to Rama, even Brahma Vishnu and Mahesh in their thousands are unable to protect you, an enemy of Rama, abandon pride rooted in ignorance and source of pain both ways, adore Rama,

Said Hanuman, I felt hungry and broke the bough as a monkey does, one's body is supremely dear to all yet those wicked insisted on bouncing me so that I had no other option but to defend myself and return their blows, 

Your son brings me here, I am not ashamed of being bound, as I am bound to serve the cause of my Lord, I implore you with joined palms, Ravana give up your haughtiness and heed my advice, 

Think of your lineage, and view things from that perspective, adore him who disples the fear of the devotees, never antagonize him who is a source of terror even to death, and return Sita to him at my request,

Meghnada ultimately takes Hanuman with him to Ravana in the assembly, 

Mystic strange that the envoy of Rama whose name enables the the wise to cut asunder the bonds of mundane existence should come under bondage,

Hanuman allowed himself to reach Ravana, as Ravana saw Monkey, he laughed and railed at him, recalling the death of his son made him sad at heart, Said the Ravana, who are you, O Monkey, whose might you have wrought the groove, did you never heard my name, exceptionally bold wretch you kill demons of what offense, 

Said Hanuman, O ten-headed monster, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva carry on their respective function by whose might, by whose might thousand-headed Shesha support the earth, who assume various forms to protect gods and teach a lesson to wretches like you, who broke Shiva's bow, dispatched Khara, Dushan and Trisita and Vali, all unequaled in strength by an iota of whose might you were able to conquer the entire creation, snd whose beloved spouse has been stolen away by you, know me to be his envoy,

Many a time Meghanada lay unconscious

 Jai Sri Ram,

Ravana flew in rage as he heard of his son's death, and sent the mighty Meghanada with the message kill him not, but bind him and bring him here, let us see the monkey and ascertain wherefrom he comes,

Meghanada sailed forth, a peerless champion, seized with fury at the news of his brother's death, 

When Hanuman saw he roared and rushed forward to meet him, smashing his car and crushing those accompanying him, it was a rare encounter between them, 

Many a time Meghanada lay unconscious with the fist of Hanuman, recovered, and tried again to overpower him but miserable failed then ultimately tried to use Brhamasta, a weapon presided over by Brahma, Hanuman already had a boon to overthrow even the Brahmastra, he thought to himself if I submit not to the Brahma's own weapon, its infinite glory will be cast to the winds, he let get tied up in Brahmastra, for a reason to reach assembly of Ravana to deliver the message of Rama,

Said Hanuman, Mother I am feeling frightfully hungry at the sight of these trees laden with delicious fruits,

I tell you, my son, the grove is guarded by the most valiant and mighty demons, Said Hanuman, Mother, I am not at all afraid of them, only if I have your hearty approval, 

Seeing Monkey perfect in strength and will, Sita said, Go, my son, and enjoy the luscious fruit with your heart fixed on Sri Rama,

Bowing head to the feet of Sita Hanuman went forth and entered the groove, having eaten the fruit he began to break down the tree to give a message to Ravana, Several warriors posted there were killed by Hanuman, while the rest fled the sight at once and report in the assembly of Ravana, on hearing this Ravana dispatched more mighty warriors along with his son Akshay, were killed by Hanuman and message sent to Ravana by the hidden warriors,

Said Hanuman, Listen, Mother, Monkeys possess no great strength or intelligence either but through the Lord's might, the tiniest snake might swallow Garuda, the king of birds and the mount of Bhagwan Vishnu,

Sita felt gratified at heart even as she heard the monkey's words full of devotion and revealing Sri Rama's majesty, glory, and strength,

Recognizing him as the beloved of Sri Rama She gave her blessings, may you become the repository of strength and virtues, dear child, and may ever remain immune from old age and death and prove to be a storehouse of good qualities, my son, and may Lord of Raghu's shower abundant grace on you, 

The Moment the words, May the Lord be gracious to you, reached his ears Hanuman was utterly whelmed with emotion, again and again, bowed his head at her feet and with joined palms addressed her thus, I have now accomplished all that I had to accomplish, Mother, for your blessing, everyone knows, is unfailing,

Said Hanuman, Had the Rama any news about you, he would not have tarried,, the moment Rama's arrows make their appearance like the sun, the demon host would be scattered like the shadows of night, 

Mother, I would take you to him this very moment, But I swear by Rama, I have no such orders from the Lord, 

Therefore wait patiently for some days more, till Rama arrives with his troops of monkeys, slaughtering the demons, will take you away, while Narada and other sages will glorify him in all the three spheres, 

Said the Sita, but my son, all the monkeys must be pygmies like you, whereas the demons are mighty and great warriors, I have misgivings in my heart on this score, on hearing this Hanuman revealed his natural form, colossal of a mountain of gold, terrible in battle, possessing great might and full of valor, Sita took comfort in her heart, thereupon Hanuman resumed his diminutive appearance,

The host of demons are like so many moths, while the shafts of the Lord are like flames, have courage in your heart, Mother, and take the demons as consumed,

The fresh tender leaves on the tree look like tongues of fire, ,,,, Night appears as the night of dissolution, ,,,,,, The moon scorches like the sun,,,,,, Beds of lotuses are like so many spears planted on the ground, ,,,,,, While rains pour boiling oil as it were, ,,,,,, Those that were friendly before have now become tormenting,,,,, The cool soft breezes are now like the breath of a serpent, 

One's agony is assuaged to some extent by speaking of it but to whom shall I speak about it,

For there is no one who will understand, the reality about the cord of love that binds you and me, dear, is known to my soul alone, and my soul ever abides with you,

Know this to be the essence of my love,

Mother, compose yourself now, and hear the message of Sri Rama, even as he uttered these words, the monkey's voice chocked with emotion, and his eyes filled with tears,

As she heard the monkey's affectionate words Her soul trusted him and she recognized him to be a servant of the all-merciful Lord in thought, word, and deed, 

Perceiving him to be a devotee of Sri Hari She developed an intense affection for him, her eyes filled with tears, and a thrill ran through her body, to me who was being drowned in the ocean of desolation, dear Hanuman, you have come as a veritable bark, Now tell me, I adjure you, the welfare of all merciful Sri Rama, and his younger brother,

The moment seemed like an age to Hanuman as he beheld Sita extremely distressed due to her separation from her Lord, taking thought within himself he dropped down the signet as though the Ashoka tree had thrown a spark in response to her prayer, 

She sprang up with joy and took it in her hand, identifying it to be a ring of her lord, Rama's name engraved on it, looked at it with wonder, agitated at heart with mixed feelings of joy and sorrow, 

She thought to herself that Rama was invincible who had brought this, who could conquer Rama, such a divine ring cannot be prepared otherwise, even conjuring a trick is not possible, then she indulged in fantasies of various kinds,

Hanuman spoke in honeyed accents and began to recount the praises of Rama, the moment it reached her ear her grief escaped all the way, listened with all her soul, Hanuman narrated the whole story from the very beginning, wherefore does she who told this tale, which is like nectar to my ears, not reveal herself, thereupon Hanuman drew near to her, Sita sat with her back turned towards him, full of amazement, I AM SRI RAMA'S MESSENGER MOTHER JANAKI,

All the demonesses dispersed in various directions and Sita anxiously thought within herself, at the end of a long month this monster will slay me, With joined Palm she said to Trijata, Mother you are my only companion in adversity, quickly devise some means whereby I may cast off this body, for this dissolution, hard to bear, can no longer be endured,

Bring some wood and put up a pyre my mother, and set fire, to prove the genuineness of my love for my lord,

Trijata clasped the feet of Sita and said, O tender lady fire cannot be had at night, so saying she left the place,

Sita said to herself, Heaven itself has turned to hostile to me, there is no fire to have, and I can not be cured of my agony, the spark of fire is visible in the sky in the form of stars for me yet heaven refused to rain a spark for my cause,

Hearing himself likened to a glow worm and Sri Ram compared to the sun and exasperated at her harsh words, Ravana drew out his sword and said,

You have insulted me, will cut your head, Mandodary intervened and stopped Ravana, Spoke the Ravana, and chose either accept my offer or sword, having instructed to demonesses to scare Sita all the possible ways he went to his palace, 

One of the demonesses Trijata by the name devoted to the lotus feet of Rama and perfect in spiritual wisdom, summoned all her companions and told about the dream she had last night, exhorted them to serve Sita, thus bless themselves, as she had seen Ravana mounted on the donkey in the plightful state, the kingdom of Lanka passed on to Vibhishan,

Rama's victory was proclaimed throughout the city, I loudly proclaimed, that it would come true in a few days, hence they were all dismayed to hear her words and fell at the feet of Sita,

Know Vishnu to be the reality from whom all beings emanate into existence for a cause with the beginning of time,

Mild application on the day in truth with respective discipline may help the spirit to regain its pristine truth to amalgamate with the supreme personality known in the name of final beatitude,

Interposing a blade of grass between herself and the Ravana, fixed thought on Rama said,

Listen, O ten-headed monster, can a lotus flower ever expand in the glow of a firefly, 

Onder this at heart, perhaps you have no idea what Sri Rama's shafts are like, you carried me at a time when there was none by my side, yet you do not feel ashamed, O vile and impudent rogue,

Then Vibhishan fully Narrated how Sita had been living there, Then Hanuman took leave of him and departed to see Sita, reached there, repaired to Ashoka groove where Sita dwelt, 

Hanuman mentally bowed to the lotus feet of Sita as soon as he saw her, she had been squatting away the hours of night emaciated in body, and wore the simplest form alike renounced hermit in quest of Lord,

Eyes fixed on her own feet while minding on the feet of Rama, Hanuman felt supremely miserable to see her the way this,

Thereupon Hanuman told him all about Sri Rama and disclosed his identity, the moment Vibhishan heard this a thrill ran down his body and transported with joy at the thought of Rama's host of virtues, 

Said Vibhishan, Hanuman, how I am living here, my plight is similar to that of the poor tongue that lives midst of teeth, will the Lord ever show his grace on me, I am incapable of doing any Sadhana, my heart cherish no love for the feet of lord, 

But now ai am confident, Hanuman, that Sri Rama will shower his grace on me, for one can never meet a saint without Rama's grace, 

Said Hanuman, Listen, Vibhishan Lord is ever affectionate to his servants, for such is his want, tell me what superior birth can I claim, a frivolous monkey vile every way, so much so that anyone mentions our name early in the morning he is sure to go without any food that day,

Hanuman then noticed another splendid building with a temple sacred to Sri Hari standing apart, the mention had the weapons bow and arrow of Sri Rama painted on its wall and was beautiful beyond words,

Hanuman rejoiced to see clusters of young Tulsi plants there, and thought to himself that Lanka is the abode of a gang of demons, how could a pious man up his residence here, while he was thus reasoning within himself, Vibhishan that Ravana's younger brother woke up,

He began to repeat the name of Rama in prayer, Hanuman was delighted with a heart to find a virtuous soul, I shall make acquaintance with him at all events, for one's cause would never suffer at the hands of a good man,

Having thus resolved he assumed the form of a Brahman and Accosted Vibhishana, as soon as he heard Hanuman's word he rose up, came to Hanuman, bowing low he enquired after the welfare of Brahman, tell me about you, Holy Sir, are you one of Sri Hari's own servant, Narada or alike, my heart is filled with exceeding love at your sight, or You Sri Rama himself, loving friend of poor, who have come to bless me, by your sight,

Lankini Relates the whole episode to Hanuman and says that I must have earned very great merit that I have been blessed with the sight of Rama's own messenger, 

In one scale of the balance, dear son put together the delights of heaven and the bliss of final beatitude, but they will be outweighed by a moment's joy derived from the communion with the Saints, 

Enter the city with the name of the Lord at heart and accomplish all your business, poison is transformed into nectar, foes turn to friends, the ocean itself to the size of a cow footprint, fire becomes cool, and Meru mount appears as a grain of sand to him on whom Rama has cast his benign grace, 

Hanuman assumed a very minute form and invoked Sri Rama entered the city, and made his way to the Palace of Ravana which was the embodiment of marvelousness in itself that was beyond description, saw Ravana retiring to his room but found Sita nowhere in the palace,

The truth and conduct of demons were beyond words, hence Saint poet restricts himself to narrating being they are going to get the truth of their doom from the arrows of Rama, 

Seeing hosts of guards, defending the city, Hanuman thought to himself, let me assume a very minute form and enter the city at night,

Hanuman assumes a farm is smaller than the smallest, keeping the lord in thought, proceeded to enter the city, located by the demoness at once, she tried to restrict him, but Hanuman impacted her with a blow from his hand fist, making her fall in state of profuse bleeding, 

She immediately recalled the words of Brahma while departing from Lanka that when the feast of a monkey makes you unrest, know that extermination of demon race is nearby, and that is not a monkey but a messenger of Rama,

Sri Hanuman gazed at the loveliness of the forest, bees humming in quest of honey, trees of various kinds looked charming with fruits and flowers, delighted at heart to see the numerous birds and beasts, beholding a huge mountain ahead of him, fearlessly ran up to the submit,

Climbing upon the hill he surveyed Lanka, a most marvelous fortress that defied description it was very high and enclosed by the ocean on all sides, 

The Rampant gold shed great luster all around, the charming city was enclosed by a fortification wall of gold inlaid with precious stones of various kinds and continued many beautiful houses, lovely streets and lanes decorated every way, 

Who could count the multitudes of elephants, horses, mules, and the crowd of foot soldiers, troops of demons, count of chariots, formidable parks, lakes, and wells, charming daughters of human beings, enraptured with their beauty the minds of hermits,

  Jai Sri Ram,

I bow to the son of the wind god, the beloved devotee of Sri Rama, the chief of monkeys, a repository of all virtues, foremost among the wise, a fire to consume the forest of the demon race, possessing a body shinning as a mountain of gold and home of immeasurable strength, 

Hanuman was delighted at heart to hear the heartening speech of Jambvan, he said, suffering, hardships and living on bulbs roots and fruits, wait for me, till I return after seeing Sita, I am sure our object will be accomplished as I feel very cheerful, 

So saying and bowing head to them all he set out full of joy with an image of Rama enshrined in his heart, climbing on a beautiful hill at sea, sprang on to its top, invoking Rama again took a leap with all his might, that hill sank down at the same moment, Hanuman was flying high, on the pretext of gods Menak a hill with wings rise at the level of the sea to support Hanuman, and requested Hanuman for rest upon, Hanuman simply touched and said, there can be no rest for me till I have accomplished Rama's work, 

Thereafter gods sent Sursa, the mother of serpents to testify the truth and might of Hanuman, she obstructed Hanuman and played tricks to raise her mouth to swallow Hanuman, Hanuman just enter and come out, and said Mother let me go, I am on an urgent task when I will be back you may eat me, Then she relates all about the episode as gods given this task to her, and you succeed, I wish you all the success in your mission, In the midway hanuman meet with a demoness skilled with mysticism to capture the shadow of birds and when they fall she enjoys the food, she applies the same trick on Hanuman, he immediately killed her and crossed the ocean,

Said the Jamvant, Rama taking himself with the army of monkeys will exterminate the demons Bring back Sita, gods, and sages utter his praises that sanctify the three spheres, 

Rama. the slayer of the demon Trisira, will grant all the desires of those who listen and sing the praises that remedy for the disease of transmigration,

 I adore the lord of the universe known in the name of Rama, mine of compassion, dispeller of all sins, appearing in human form through his Maya, the greatest of all gods, knowable through Vedanta, persistently worship by Brahma, Shanbhu, and Sesha, bestower of supreme peace in the form of final beatitude, placid eternal, beyond the ordinary means of cognition, sinless and all-pervading, 

O Lord Rama, I have no craving in my heart, I speak truth and you are the spirit indwelling the hearts of all, grant me intense devotion to your lotus feet, free my mind from the faults like concupiscence,

Said Sampati, Sita plunged in grief even now, I see her, though you cannot, FOR THE RANGE OF VULCHURE SIGHT IS UNLIMITED, I have grown old now, or else I would have rendered some help to you, he who can leap over the ocean having width eight hundred miles and is repository of intelligence will be able to do Sri Rama's business, look at me and feel courage, by the grace of Rama alone I attain to new wings and absolute health, for you are spies of Rama blessed with his hidden power, should never lose nerve, be up invoke his image in heart will help all the way,

Saying so Vulture departed leaving them amazed at heart, each one among them talked more about might but doubted crossing the ocean, Angada Said, of sure, I will leap it at once but cannot say about to be back,

Jamvant relates the truth of how he performed seven Parikrama when the Lord assumed Vaman's incarnation and increased his size but now I have age factor and many mystic reasons to leap over, 

Hanuman was silent all, then all approached him and tried to invoke his hidden Siddhies which were locked by a sage in his childhood, now is the time he regained all his might, Said Jambvant Listen to Hanuman your birth is meant for the cause of Rama, what for you are looking now, Hanuman said in perfect enthusiasm tell me Jamvany what I am to do, I can cross the ocean in a very short while, killed Ravana in an instance and bring back Trikute hill itself here, Said Jamvant, all you have to do my son, is to go, and see Sita and come back with her tidings, then Rama himself will recover her by the might of his arm taking with him a host of monkeys for just sport,

All the monkeys and others were dismayed to move ahead, were discussing the issue related, and soon found a vulture named Sampati, all frightened by a mere look at him, Sampati said, was dying hungry for a long, now god had given enough feed to me,

Monkeys trembled to hear it, Jambvan relates the episode of Jatayu, brother of Sampati, and how he lay down his life for the cause of Rama, Sampati heard it and was immersed in sorrow, and asked for some help to lead him to the sea shore to make oblations to his departed brother, monkeys help them at once,

Having performed the death ceremonies, Sampati narrated his own story, that myself and I flew with my brother high to reach the arbs of the sun, but Jatayu failed to bear the heat and turn back but my ego asked me to move ahead that made my wings burned and I Fell down on the ground, 

A sage Named Chandrama helped me to recover and told me that when messengers of Rama visited this shore for the given task, as you see them your wings will grow new, to help monkeys he took a fly high and came back with a message, that there is a Trikut hill, Ravana lives at, Sita is lodged in Ashok garden there,

An army of monkeys and bears start their journey with the name of Rama in enthusiasm, killing many demons in a fraction of a second midway, they feel oppressed with thirst midst of way, soon lost in the wildness of woods,

Hanuman relocated himself in truth with the path and the cause midst of wood and led them to a mount, there they found a cave, they all entered the cave huge inside with lush gardens and lakes, fruit trees, and much more with an Idol as presiding deity in austere penance, 

First, they feared that idle which turn to a beautiful lady mystic by nature knows all and spoke to them about the truth and cause of the journey, said relax, swim in lakes, have licious fruits and come to me to reach your destination,

She Was Swayam Prabha, a great devotee and disinterested lover of Sri Rama who awaits the eternal call from herself to the truth of her motto being on the planet, she relates a lot about the truth and the cause and asks them all to close  eyes and follow her voice, she lead them the distined destination forarieal journey ahead, as the monkeys open the eyes, no more found that cave nor that lady but they are were on the shore of sea, And Swayam Prabha go back to Rama in her mystic form to submit her divine spirit and Rama ask here to go to Badrika van for rest of her penance to attain blissful unison with, She departed,

Rama eternally instructed him all about the conduct and truth he had to follow

While the talk was going on between them, multitudes of monkeys arrived visible in all quarters, they came and bowed at the feet of Rama, and gazed at him with all submission, Sugreeva thus instructed them all about the task in depth, 

On hearing the command the monkeys preceded at once in various directions, then Sugreeva called Angada and Hanuman asked them to go with Nal, Neel, and Jamvant towards the south, and enquire the way it comes about the whereabouts of Sita, 

Taking leave of Sugreeva all bowed to Rama before they marched, lastly came Hanuman, Rama eternally instructed him all about the conduct and truth he had to follow in search of Sita, and gave him a ring from his hand with the message to Sita, 

Hanuman left and reaped the award and reward of the birth, departed with the Image of Rama at his heart rejoiced eternally beyond words, a good omen that ensured success in the mission,
