Sense objects are far higher than the senses as per the quotes of time and ages, Mind is higher than sense objects is visible reality, intellect is higher than the mind is a hidden truth to rely upon, 

Inner self that seated in a obscure sky of the hearts that far higher than all those including intellect and mind, 

But Adi Purusha that cause of one and all is not that far away from in inherent self, and attainable with time and occasion, Occasion to make it is Sri Ekadasi, and time relates the relativity of self and it could today and a day among Sri Ekadisies, a relative truth of any fortnight that rules by the truth of Lord Vishnu, Vishnu cult facilitate devotees and aspirants to make it to the tune of self in vicinity of the day that Sri Ekadasi,

Sita and Rama

 Jai Sri Ram,

I reverence the feet of Sita and Rama, who though state to be different are yet identical just like a word and its meaning or like water and the waves on its surface, and to whom the afflicted are most dear,

I greet the Name Rama, which is composed of seed letters, representing fire god, the sun god, the moon god, is the same Brahma Vishnu and Shiva, the vital breath of Vedas, attributeless, peerless and mine of virtues, 

Shiva mutter this name and which, when imparted by him at Kashi to departed soul, leads to emancipation, Its glory is well known in spheres of all regions, The saint poet Valmiki acquainted with the glory of the name, inasmuch as he attained to purity by repeating it even in reverse order, 

Shiva chant this name before dine which equates the thousand Names, and relate this mystic reality to goddess Gauri, Shiva knows the power of muttering the name, due to which deadly poison served the purpose of nectar to him,

obeisance in the lotus feet of Devi Sita

 Jai Sri Ram,

I make obeisance to king Janaka,, along with his family, who bore hidden affection for the lous feet of Rama, I bow the Bharata, whose self discipline and religious austerity beggar description, whose mind thirst for the lotus feet of Rama like a bee, I revere the lotus feet of Laxman, charming that delight to devotees, serve the Rama, is no other than thousand head Sesa Naag,

I supplicate Hanuman, the great hero, whose glory has been exalted by Rama himself, I greet Hanuman, the son of wind god, an embodiment of wisdom, who is fire as it were for the wicked, and in the abode of whose heart reside Rama, 

I revere the charming feet of all those who have serve the lotus feet of Rama, including Sugreeva and Vibhishan, Angada and Jambavan and much more, 

I make obeisance in the lotus feet of Devi Sita, daughter of king Janaka, mother of the universe, and the most beloved consort of Rama, the fountain of mercy, and seek to propitiate the pair of her lotus feet, so that by her grace, I may be blessed with refined intellect,

Sri Krishna Janmashtami is being celecelebarted to mark the truth of the day that embodiment of Krishna Prem, a love that meaningful all the way along with truth disinterested reality to serve the cause in pilgrimage on planet,

Time and ages have elaborated the truth of the day in varying forms to make it easy for embodied soul to enjoin this divine celebration, that to mark truth of self in love with lotus feet of Soul master, Krishna,

Sages of the time and eras have elaborated the ways to make the day to the tune unto truth of self for pure eternal gains, which not only yields here by much more on journey hereafter, Know Krishna to be supreme ancient personality that Adi Purusha, with inherent greatness and sole sovereign of his existence, his worship could offer a great deal unto truth of eternity of individual soul,

I bow to the lotus feet of Sage Valmiki, composer of Ramayana, full in infinite references and glory of Rama, Revere Vedas, bark as it were on the ocean of mundane existence, Greet the dust from the feet of Brahma, who has evolved this ocean in truth with saints and demons, nectar and poison, bodage and liberation, Pray to gods who plays pivotal role in evolution theory for animate and inanimate, 

Bow to goddess Saraswati and celestial Ganga, one wipes the sin through true knowledge other by an holy dip, Adore Shiva and Goddess Gauri, the true benefactor of embodied souls and the saint poet Tulsidas, seeing prevalence of Kali age, evolved a string of spells in the tongue of savages, incoherent syllabus which yields no interpretation, require no repetition but whose efficacy is patent, 

If Shiva and goddess Gauri, are really propitious to me, even in dream, let all that I have said in glorification of this poetry of mine, in popular language, come true,

I reverence the exceedingly Holy city Ayodhya,  and Saryu flowing beside it, which wipes out the sins of Kali age, bow to people of the city, who enjoy the felicity of comprehensive Rama Bhakti, Greet Kaushalya, the eldest queen and the Mother of Rama, is the eastern horizon whence arose loving moon, serve the Brahma as her child, adore the lotus feet of Dasaratha, the king of Ayodhya, who give up his life mare staw the moment Rama parted from him,

Glory of Rama is charming beyond words

 Jai Sri Ram,

If kings get bridges constructed over the big rivers, which are too broad, even the tiniest ants cross them without exertion, reassuring the mind this way, shall narrate the charming story of Rama, many saint poets reverently recounted it, bow to them, 

I make obeisance to the bards of the Kali age, who have sung the virtues of Rama, Revere them all who have narrated the exploits of Rama, including those who have flourished in past, still living and those who yet to come, revere them all, 

The Glory of Rama is charming beyond words, while my speech is rough, am afraid, by your grace this incongruity will turn out well for me, embroidery of silk looks charming even on a coarse cloth,

The wise admire only that poetry which is lucid and portrays a spotless character and which even opponents hear with applause forgetting natural animosity, such poetry is not possible without a refined intellect,I bear limited intellectual power,  therefore I may depict the glory of Lord, I solicit again and again, hearing my childlike prayer and recognizing my refined taste, be kindly disposed towards me,

His greatest feature

 Jai Sri Ram,

Goddess Saraswati, Sesa, Shiva, Agamas that Tanta and Vedas and Puranas unceasingly sing his virtue Saying NOT THAT, NOT THAT, through all knows the greatness of Lord, but non has refrain from describing it, 

The Vedas has justified it thus they have variously sung the glory of remembering the Lord, who is one, desireless, formless, nameless and unborn, is truth that bliss personified consciousness, indeed supreme effulgence, all pervading, the one who has performed many deeds assuming suitable form, and done for the good his devotees, indeed supremely gracious by nature, and loving to the suppliant, excessively fond of devotees and treat them as his own, 

His greatest feature is that he never frowned at him to whom he has once shown his favour, known for being a restower of what has been lost,  BEFRIENDER OF THE POOR, straightforward and powerful master, 

Knowing thus, the wise sing his glories, thereby hallow and bring supreme reward to their speech, bowing my head to the lotus feet of such Lord, Saints of time and ages have sung his glory to make it easy to follow the very Path unto Him,

If the pearls are pierced with skill and strung together on the beautiful thread

If the pearls are pierced with skill and strung together on the beautiful thread of Rama's exploits, and if noble souls wear them in their innocent heart, grace in the form of excessive fondness is result,

Those who are born in the kali age, who though akin to the crow in their doings have put on the garb of a swan, who tread the evil path, abandoning the track of Vedas, who are embodiment of falsehood and repositories of sins of the kali age, imposter by nature claiming to be the devotee of Rama, though slaves of mammon, anger and passion, and unscrupulous, hypothetical and foremost among intriguers, I occupy the first among them, 

Were I to recount all my vices, their tale, will not be limited to describe here, hence mentioned a few, entering in the spirit of my manifold prayer, none should blame me, those who raise objections, even then are more stupid and deficient in intellect than myself, Am not a poet, sing the glories of Rama, according to my own lights,

My intellect that wallow in the world, is poor match for unlimited exploits of Rama, tell me, what account is cotton in the face of the strong wind before which even mountains blown away, realizing the infinite glory of Rama, my mind feels very diffident in proceeding with the story,

The beauty of a gem, a ruby and a pearl does not catch the eyes as it should long as they are borne on the head of a serpent, the top of the mountain and the crown of an elephant respectively,

The charm of them all is enhanced when they adorn the diadem of a king or the person of a young lady, even so, the wise say, the outpouring of a good poet originate at one place, in the mind of poet, and exercise their charm elsewhere, on the mind of admirer,

Attracted by the devotion, Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of poetry, comes with all speed from the abode of Brahma, the topmost heaven, at his very invocation, the fatigue occasioned by the long journey cannot be relieved by millions of devices unless she takes a dip in the lake of Sri Rama's exploits,

Realizing this in their heart, poets and the wise men chant the glory of Sri Hari alone, which wipes away the impurities of the Kali age, the wise liken the heart of poet to the sea, his intellect to shall containing pearls and goddess Saraswati to the star Svati, if there is a shower in the form of beautiful ideas, lovely pearls make their appearance in the form of poetic effusion,

The tale of Sri Rama brings forth blessings and wipes away the impurities of the Kali age, the course of the stream of my poetry is torturous like that of the holy Ganga,

By the association with the auspicious glory of Rama, my composition will be blessed and will captivate the mind of virtuous, on the person of Lord Shiva, even the ashes of the cremation ground appear charming and purify by their very thought,

My composition will appear extremely delightful to all by its association with the story of Rama, even as timber of every description is transformed into sandal and become worthy of adoration by contact with Malaya mountain, and nobody takes the quality of wood in that region, 

The milk of even a dark cow is white and possesses a great medicinal value and is drunk by all, so do the wise chant and hear the glory of Sita and Rama even though couched in the language of common people,

who has not been exalted by noble company

 Jai Sri Ram,

My composition is devoid of charm but it has only merit, which is known throughout the world, recognizing this merit, men of sound reason, who are gifted with unplased judgement will surely hear it,

It contains the glory of Rama, which is exceedingly holy and very cream of the Puranas and the Vedas, abode of blessings and is muttered by Lord Shiva, the enemy of demon Tripura, along with his consort, Uma, 

Even a composition of marvellous beauty and written by a gifted poet does not command itself without the name of Rama, A pretty woman with a charming appearance and fully adorned doesn't look attractive when undressed,

On the other hand, the wise recite and hear with admiration even the composition of a worthless poet, which is devoid of all merits, knowing it as adorned with the name and Glory of Rama, for, like the bee, saints have bias for goodness, although it has no poetic charm, whatsoever, the glory of Rama is manifest in it, the only hope which flashes on my mind, who has not been exalted by noble company, even smoke from burning aloe wood is impregnated with the latter's fragrance and gives up its natural pungency, my composition is clumsy, treats a commendable theme. the story of Rama which brings felicity to the world,

Virtuous will listen this tale of Rama with taste

The laughter of the evil minded will benefit me, call the cuckoo hoarse, herons ridicule the swan, frog makes fun of the Cataka bird and malicious deride relined speech, 

To those who have no taste for poetry nor devotion to the feet of Rama, this undertaking of mine will serve as a subject for delightful mirth,

My composition is couched in the popular dialect and my intellect is feeble, hence it is a fit subject for ridicule, and those who laugh shall not incur any blame,

Virtuous will listen this tale of Rama with taste as sweet, I am not poet, nor adept, cipher in all art and sciences, Possesses critical knowledge of none vouch for it in writing on the blank sheet,

I would Rocount the virtues of Rama, but my vit is poor, whereas the exploits of Rama are unfathomable, for this I find not the least resources, while I am bankrupt of mind and intellect, my ambition is royal, but my intellect is exceedingly mean, but aspirations are pitched too high, while crave for nectar, I have no mean in this world to procure even butter milk, 

The virtuous will forgive my presumptions, and listen to my childish babbling with interest, when a child prattles in lipsing ascents, the parents hear it with mind full of delight, those, whoever, who are hard heartened, mischievous and perverse and cherish others as an ornament, will feel amused, 

Who does not like one's own poetry, be it delightful or exceedingly insipid, such good people as delight to hear other's composition are rae in the world, the world abounds in men who resemble lakes and rivers, that get swollen with their own rise when waters are added to them,

There is some rare good soul like ocean, which swells at the sight of the full moon, humble is my lot, and my ambition high, my only hope is that all good men will be gratified to hear what I say, while the evil minded will laugh,

Sri Ekadasi today, day to recall the truth and pastime of Lord Vishnu, the savior, who destroy the hostile forces in order to establish righteousness,

Know Lord Vishnu to be the guardian of this universe and fond of devotees, support of this universe and tangible support to rely upon for devotees and aspirants, 

Know Lord Vishnu to be an omnipresent reality that pervades all like ether, who is meditated upon by the mystics and sages to meet the true of their inner quest,

Know Lord Vishnu as a legend of purity that giver of sanctity, is supreme self that giver of liberation from birth and rebirth,

Parrots and Mainas nurtured in the house of virtuous and wicked repeat the name of Rama and pour avolly of abuses respectively, smoke coming in contact with an evil earthly substance turns into soot, the same is used as material for copying the Vedas and Puranas, brings life to the world,

The planets, medicines, water, air and cloth prove good or bed in the world according to their good and evil associations, only men endowed with keen inside are able to know this, proportion of moonlight and darkness is same in the bright and the dark fortnight, only two have name differently by the creator,

Knowing one as the nourisher and other as the emaciator of the moon, the world has given it good and the bad name, whatever beings are in this universe either animate or inanimate, recognize them as consisting of Sri Rama, I ever adore the lotus feet of all with joined palms,

I revered the gods, demons, human beings, Nagas, birds, spirits, manes, Gandharva, Kinnaras and Giants, pray gracious to me all on this occasion, Eight million and four hundred thousand species of living beings classified under four broad divisions, inhabit, land, water and sky, recognising them as Full of Sita and Rama, make obeisance to them all with joined palms, knowing me as your servant, be genuinely gracious to me all of you,

When providence blesses

  Jai Sri Ram,

When providence blesses one with such discrimination as possessed by the swan, then alone does the mind abandon evil and get enamoured of goodness, by force of the spirit of the times, old habits and the past Karma even the good deviate from goodness under the influence of Maya, 

But just as servants of Sri Hari rectify that error and, eradicating sorrow and weakness, bring untarnished glory to them, even so the wicked occasionally perform a noble deed due to their good association, although their evil nature, which is unchangeable, cannot be obliterated, 

Even those who are imposters are respected on account of their garb, as the world is taken in by their attractive appearance, but they are eventually exposed, and cannot keep up their false appearance till the end, as was in the case of Kalanemi and Rahu, 

The good are honoured notwithstanding their mean appearance even as Jamavan, endowed with a form of bear, possessed miraculous strength and that Hanuman, the monkey god, won honor in this world, bad association is harmful, while good company is an asset in itself, this is true in the world as well as in the eyes of Vedas,

good and the vile all have been brought into beings by the creator,

Of course, a good man has a bias for goodness alone, while a vile person is prone to vileness, while nectar is praised for its immortalizing virtue, poison is extolled for its deadly effects, The tales of sin and vices on one the one hand and of the virtues of the virtuous, on other, are like boundless and unfathomable oceans, 

That is why I have enumerated only a few virtues and vices, for they cannot be acquired or discarded without being duly distinguished, the good and the vile all have been brought into beings by the creator, It is Vedas that have differentiated them by reckoning the merits of the former and demerits of the other,

The Vedas and other ancient scriptures have unanimously declared the creation of Brahma is an intermixture of good and evil, charecterised the pair of opposites, such as pain and pleasure, sin and virtue, day and night, good and the wicked, good birth and the vile birth, demons and gods, high and the low, nectar and the poison, happy life and the death, Maya and Brahma, pauper and the king, matter and spirit, Sacred Kashi and indifferent Magadha that in north Bihar, a cursed land, Holy Ganga and unholy Karmanasa, Rich soil of Brahman Varn and other, Braman that gods on earth and barbarians and much more, heaven and hell, attachments and dispassion,

God has created the universe consisting of animate and inanimate beings as partaking of both good and evil, Swans in the form of a saints imbibe the the milk of goodness rejecting the water in the form of evil,

wicked burned with jealousy as they hear the welfare of others

 Jai Sri Ram,

The wicked burned with jealousy as they hear the welfare of others, be they his friends, foes or neutrals, such is their wont, knowing thus, this humble soul makes loving entities to them with joined palms,

I for my part have made entities to them, they too must not fail to do their part, however fondly you may nurture a broos of crows, can you ever expect ravens to turn vegetarians, I adore the feet of a saint and a wicked soul, both of whom give pain, through some difference is said to exist between them, whereas former class cause mortal pain while parting, the latter give agonising tormont during their meeting, 

Though both born together in the world, they differ their trait even as the lotus and the leech, both spring from water, the good and the wicked resemble necar and the wine respectively, the unfathomable ocean in the form of this world is their common parent, the good and the wicked gather a rich harvest of good reputation and infamy by their respective doings, although merits of nectar, the moon, the seat of nectar, the Ganga, the river of celestials, and a pious soul, 

On the other hand and on the demerits of venom, fire, the unholy River Karmanasa, which is said to full of impurities of Kali age, and the hunter, on the other, the known to all, only which is to a man's appears good to him,

greet with a sincere heart

  Jai Sri Ram,

Again, I greet with a sincere heart the malevolent class, who are hostile without purpose even to the friendly, to whom others loss is their own gain, and who delight in others desolation, and wail over their prosperity,

They try to eclipse the Glory of Lord Vishnu and Shiva as Rahu intercept the light of Moon in lunar eclipse and same in case of solar eclipse , detect other's faults as if with thousand eyes and their mind mars others interests even as a fly spoils clarified butter,

In splendour they emulate the fire and In anger they vie with the god of death, like the rise of a comet their advancement augurs ill for others interest, like the slumber of Kumbhakarna their decline alone is propitious for the world, they lay down their life in order to harm others, even as hailstone dissolves after destroying the crop, 

I revered the wicked soul as the fiery Thousand tongued serpent god Sesa, in so far as he eagerly expatiates on others faults with thousand tongues as it were, again, I bow to King Prthu who prayed thousand ears to hear the glories of Lord, inasmuch as he hears of others faults, once more do I supplicate to Indra that lord of celestials, in so far as wine appears charming and beneficial to him, harsh language is dear to him even as the thunderbolt is fondly cherished by Indra and he detects other's faults with thousand eyes as it were,

base metal is transmuted by the touch of philosopher's stone,

Though contact with the virtuous even the wicked get reformed, just as base metal is transmuted by the touch of philosopher's stone, on the other hand, if by mischance good men fall into the evil company, they maintain their noble character like the gem on the hood of serpents,

Even the Speech of the deities like Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, poets and men of wisdom falters in depicting the glory of pious soul, much less can it be described by me, even as a dealer in vegetables finds himself incapable of expatiang on the qualities of gems, 

I bow to the Saints that even minded to all and have no friend and foe just a flower of good quality placed in the palm of one which plucked it and that which held and reserved it, realizing thus the noble disposition and loving nature of saints, who are innocent at heart and catholic in spirit, I make this humble submission to them, 

Listening to my child like prayer and taking compassion on me, O Noble souls, bless me with devotion to the lotus feet of Sri Rama,

Wisdom dawns not without association with saints

 Jai Sri Ram,

Man who having heard the glory of this moving Prayaga in the form of the assemblage of Holy men appreciate it with an enraptured mind and then take a plunge into it with extreme devotion obtain the four rewards of human existence during their very life time,

The result of immersion into the sacred waters of Prayaga instantly perceived, crows turns into cuckoo's and herons into swans, let no one marvel to hear this, the glory of contact with saints is no secret, 

Valmiki, Narada and Agastya, who born of pitcher, have related the story of their birth and transformation with their own lips, of the various creatures, both animate and inanimate, living in this world, whatever in water or land or air, whoever has attained wisdom, glory, salvation, material prosperity or welfare anywhere and by any means whatsoever, know it to be the result of association with holy men, There is no other mean either in the world or in the Vedas, 

Wisdom dawns not without association with saints and such saints cannot be easily had without the grace of Rama, contact with noble souls is the root of joy and blessings, it constitute the very fruit and fulfilment of all endeavours,

Triveni

 Jai Sri Ram,

Even by suffering hardships in the form of ginning, spinning and weaving, the cotton plant covers' faults and here thereby earned in the world a renown which is worthy of adoration,

The assemblage of saints, which is joy and felicity, is a moving prayaga, the king of all holy places, as it were, Devotion to Sri Rama represents, in this moving Prayaga, the stream of the Holy Ganga, the river of the celestials, while the proceedings of an enquiry into the nature of Brahma that absolute, constitute Saraswati that subterranean stream, which is traditionally believed to join the Ganga and Yamuna at Prayaga, thus accounting for the Name Triveni, which signify the meeting place of the three Rivers,

Discourse of Karma or action, consisting of injunctions and interdictions, have been spoken of as the sacred Yamuna, the daughter of sun god in her angelic form, washing the impurities of the kali age, while the anecdotes at Vishnu and Shiva stands out as the triple stream known as Triveni, the bringing joy, blessings to those who listen to them,

Unwavering faith in their court of that king holy places, easy of access to all on any day and at every place, this moving prayaga assuage the afflictions of those who resort to it with reverence, This King of holy places is beyond description and bestows the reward immediately and its Glory is manifest,

 Jai Sri Ram,

With its very appearance the bright eyes of the mind get opened, the attendant evils and sufferings of the night of mundane existence disappears, and gems and rubies in the shape of stories of Rama, both patent and hidden, wherever and in whatever mine they may be, come to light,

As for instance, by applying to the eyes the miraculous salve known by the name of Siddhanjana that eye salve of protection, srivers, adepts as well as men of wisdom easily discover a host of mines on hill tops, in the midst of forest and in the bowels of earth, 

The dust of the Guru's feet is a soft and agreeable, salve, which is ambrosia as it were for the eyes and remedies the defects of vision, Having brightened my eyes of discemented thereby I proceed to relate the Story of Rama, which secure freedom from the bondage of mundane existence, 

First I revered the feet of Brahmans, the very gods of the earth, who are able to dispel all doubts born of ignorance, then I make loving obeisance to the whole body of pious souls, the mine of all virtues, the conduct of holy man is noble as the career of the cotton plant, the fruit whereof is tasteless, white and fibrous, even as the doings of saints yields results which are free from attachments, stainless and full of goodness,

Merciful Lord Ganesha

 Jai Sri Ram,

May the Merciful Lord Ganesha, whose grace enables the dumb to wax eloquent and a cripple to ascend an inaccessible mountain, and who burns all the impurities of the Kali age, be moved pity, May Lord, who ever sleeps on the ocean of milk and who is swarthy as a blue lotus and has eyes resembling a pair of full blown red lotuses, take up his abode in my bosom, 

May the crusher of cupid, Bhagwan Shiva, whose form resembles in colors the jasmine flower and the moon, who is consort of Goddess Parvati and an abode of compassion and who is fond of all afflicted, be gracious, 

I Bow to the lotus feet of my Guru, who is an ocean of mercy and is no other than Sri Hari himself in human form, and whose words are sunbeams as it were for dispersing the mass of darkness in the form of gross ignorance, I greet the pollen like dust of the lotus feet of my preceptor, refulgent, fragrant , and flavoured with love,

It is lovely power of life giving herb, which allays the host of all the attendants ills of mundane existence, it adorns the body of lucky person even as white ashes beautify the person of Lord Shiva, and brings forth sweet blessings and joy, it rubs the dirt off the beautiful mirror in the shape of devotee's heart, when applied to the forehead in the form of Tilaka that religious mark, attracts host of virtues, the splendor of gems in the form of nails on the feet of blessed Guru unfolds divine vision in the heart by its very thought,  the luster disperses the shades of infatuation, highly blessed is he in whose bosom it shines,

I make obeisance to the eternal preceptor in the Form of Lord Sankara, who is all wisdom and resting on whose brow the crescent moon,

I adore Lord Hari, known by the name of Rama, superior to and lies beyond all causes, whose Maya holds sway over the entire universe, whose presence lends positive reality to the world of appearance, even as the false notion of a serpent is entertained with reference to a rope, whose feet are the only bark for those who eager to cross the ocean of mundane existence, May Ganesha, the leader of Shiva's retinue, whose very thought, ensures success, who by nature is repository of wisdom and abode of blessed qualities, shower his grace,

Rama cures the perversities, caused by the fivefold ignorance, of those man who treasure up in their heart even a few caupais that four footed verses of this narrative that appeal to them as most charming, If there is anyone who is fond of the forlorn, it is Rama and Rama alone, who else can compare with him as disinterested friend and a bestower of eternal bliss, Nowhere  can we find a Lord Like Rama, 

There is no one so miserable as I nor such a friend of the miserable as you, Rama, Realizing this O Rama, take away my fear of transmigration which is so terrible, May you be ever so dear to me, Rama, as woman is dear to a lustful man, and as lucre is dear to the greedy, O Rama, 

The Same mysterious Manasa Ramayana, the story of Rama figuratively spoken of as Manasa Lake, which was composed by Shambhu, the best of all poets with the object of developing unceasing devotion to the lotus feet of the all beautiful Rama, this glorious, holy, purifying blessed and most limpid Manasa lake of Sri Rama's exploit, ever begets happiness,

It bestows both wisdom and devotion, wipes out delusion, infatuation and impurity and is brimful with the water of Love, men who devotedly take a plunge into it are never scorched with the burning rays of the sun of worldly illusion,

I Adore you, O Rama, men who repeat to others, listen to when repeated by others, or chant alone this narrative of Rama thereby wipe out the sins that are incident to kali age as well as the impurities of their soul, and ascend to the abode of Rama without any difficulty,

In this age of Kali no other discipline is of any avail, Neither YOGA that control of mind, nor SACRIFICE, nor JAPA that muttering of prayer, not austere penance, nor any SACRED VOWS, nor RITUAL, Rama alone should be remembered, Rama alone should be glorified, and it is catalogue of Rama's virtues alone, that should be given ear to,

He who seeks devotion to the feet of Sri Rama, or to enjoy the state of eternal bliss should fondly drink in this story with the cups of his ears, I have narrated, Girija, the story of Sri Rama, which wipes out the sin of kali age, and removes the impurities of the mind,

The narratives of Sri Rama, as is declared by the Vedas and the seers, is a life giving herb to cure the disease of birth and death, 

It has seven beautiful stairs, which are so many roads as it were leading to the goal of devotion to mystic Rama, he along who enjoys the utmost grace of Sri Hari, can set his foot on this road, Man who sing this story in a guileless spirit attains the object of their soul's desire, They who repeat or listen to it or even approve of its recitation cross the ocean of mundane existence, as they would the print of a cow's hoof,

Girija was greatly delighted at heart to hear the whole narrative and replied in pleasing tone, by the grace of my Lord my doubts have disappeared and my devotion to mystic Rama has been renovated,

Said Shambhu, Listen Uma, blessed is the family, worthy of adoration for the whole world and hallowed too, in which is born an humble devotee of Rama, 

I have told you this Narrative According to my my own lights, although at First I kept it secret, I saw excessive fondness for the same in your heart and then I narrated to you the story of Rama, 

This Story should not be repeated to a perverse knave, who does not listen attentively to the story of Sri Hari, nor it should be recited to a greedy, irascible or lustful man who worship not Rama, 

It should never be repeated to  a Brahman hater, be a monarch as great as Indra, they alone are qualified to hear Narratives of Rama, who are extremely fond of communion with holy men, they alone are eligible to hear it, who are devoted to their preceptor, and are lover of propriety and votaries of Brahmans, The story affords special delight to them who hold the graceful Rama dear as their Life,

He alone is perfect in correct behaviour and most sagacious, he alone has thoroughly grasped the conclusion of the Vedas and alone is the seer and a man of erudition, and saunch in battle, who adores the Rama in guileless and blessed spirit,

Blessed is the Land where flows the celestial stream Sri Ganga, blessed is the wife who observe a vow of fidelity to her husband, blessed is the monarch who administrate the justice, Blessed is the Brahman who swerves not from his duty, blessed is the wealth which is used to the best knowledge, 

Best is the Intellect and ripe too, which is devoted to pious acts, blessed is the hour which is spent in communion with saints, blessed is the birth in which one practices unceasing devotion to the twice born that Brahmans,

Lovingly bowed his head at Kakabhushundi feet, who was so resolute of purpose, then flew away to Vaikuntha, the divine abode of Lord Vishnu, with an image of Rama, imprinted on his heart,

Said Shiva, Girija, there is no again so valuable as the fellowship of Saints, however cannot be had without the grace of Sri Hari, so declare by the Vedas and Puranas,I have thus repeated the most sacred narratives, by hearing which one is freed from the bonds of worldly existence and comes to have devotion to the lotus feet of the all merciful Rama, 

Rama, who by nature is wish yielding tree to the suppliant, again, they who listen to this narrative attentively to sacred places and other means of self purification, and perfection in Yoga through mind control, dispassion, and wisdom, scared rites and self control, Japa and austere penance, performing manifold sacrifices, compassion to all living beings, ministering to the Brahmanas and one's preceptor, learning, modesty, right judgement and nobility of mind, and character, in short all the expredients extolled in the Vedas, Bhavini, but one reward, devotion to Sri Hari, Such devotion to the Lord of Raghus, as has been glorified in the Vedas is attained by some rare soul by the grace of Rama, 

Although such devotion to Sri Hari is scarce attainable even by the sages, it can be easily attained by man who constantly listen to this story with Faith,

The poets have declare the heart of a saint to be soft as butter, but they did not know what should be said, for, while butter melts only when the same is heated on fire, Holy saints melts at the suffering of others,

My life and birth into this world have both been rewarded and by your grace all my doubts have fled, ever regard me as your own servant, again and again did the chief of birds speak thus, O Uma,

I have narrated the incomparable story of Sri Hari according to my own lights, forgetting all duties Rama alone should be adored, who else is worth serving, if you renounce the almighty, Rama, who regards the fool like me as his own, you are wisdom incarnate and have no infatuation, on the other hand you have done me a great favour that you asked me to repeat the most sacred Story of Rama, which delights the soul, 

The fellowship of saint is difficult to get in this world, be it for the twinkling of an eye or for half an hour even for once, ponder in your heart and see for yourself whether I am competent in anyway to worship Rama, vilest bird that impure by nature yet Lord has made me known as purifier of the world,Bhusandi Rejoiced again and again as he pondered Rama's manifold virtues, that I should enjoy the grace of Sri Rama, whose glory sung by the time, ages and aeons, 

Strivers and perfect souls, that liberated and the serrs and learned men, those knowing the secrets of Karma and those renounced the all actions, mystics and valiant heroes, great ascetics and wise men, pious souls and men of erudition and even men who have realized the self, none of these can cross the ocean of mundane existence without adoring Rama, 

Whose name is unfailing remedy for the disease of birth and death and alleviates the three kinds of terrible pains, May Rama remains propitious to me and you,

When the soul bathes in the pure water of wisdom, the heart is saturated with devotion to Sri Rama, Shiva, Brahma and all other sages and seers of ages and aeons are of this reality, that one should cultivate devotion to the lotus feet of Rama,

Vedas and Puranas including all ancient scriptures of celestial cult declare that there can be no happiness without practising devotion to Rama, it would be easier for the hair to grow on the shall of tortoise, or for the progeny of a barren woman to slay anyone or for flowers of every description to appear in the air than for any creature to be happy even through hostile to Sri Hari, 

Sooner shall thirst be slaked by drinking of a mirage or horns sprout on a hare's head or darkness efface the sun han a creature who has turned his face against Sri Rama find happiness, sooner shall fire appear out of ice than an enemy of Sri Rama enjoy happiness,

Sooner shall butter be churned out of water or oil be extracted from sand than the ocean of worldly existence be crossed without adoring Sri Hari, this is conclusion which cannot be set aside, Rama can exalt a mosquito to an Brahma and degrade Brahma to a lowest position lower than a mosquito, I tell you my considered view and my words can never be untrue, men who worship Rama are able to cross the most turbulent ocean of mundane existence,

People die even of one disease, while I have spoken of many incurable diseases which constantly torments the soul, How, then, can it find peace, there are sacred vows and religious observances and practices, austere penance, spiritual wisdom, sacrifices, Japa that muttering the name, charity and myriads of other remedies too, but the maladies just enumerated do yield to these, O Garuda Ji, 

Thus ever creature in the world is ailling and is further afflicted with grief and joy, fear, love and desolation, I have mentioned only few diseases of the mind, although plague of mankind, diminish to a certain extent on being detected but are not completely destroyed, feed by the unwholesome diet of sensuality they sprout even in the mind of sages, to say nothing of poor mortals, 

All these ailments can no doubt be eradicated if by grace of Rama, there must be faith in the word of the physician in the form of true preceptor, and the regimen is indifference to the pleasure of senses, Devotion to Rama is life giving herb, while devote mind serves as the vehicle in which it is taken, 

By this process the ailments can certainly be eradicated, otherwise all our affords will fail to get rid of them, the mind should be accounted as cured, only when heart gathered strong in the form of dispassion, applite in the shape of good resolution grows stronger everyday and weakness in the form of sensual appetite goes,

Listen dear Garuda, there is no other form is as good as human body, every living creature including gods crave for it, it a truth to attain to beatitude and could be a mean to downgrade self to the lowest species among all,

Men failed to attain to Sri Hari ever after attaining this unique form, wellow in basest pleasures of senses is alike throwing this philosopher stone for worldly pebbles, THERE IS NO MISERY AS TERRIBLE AS POVERTY IN THIS WORLD, NO BLESSING AS GREAT AS COMMUNION WITH SAINTS,

A vow of nonviolence is highest religious merit, there is no sin is grievous as speaking ill of others, 

Diseases of the mind, from which everyone suffers, infatuation is the root of all ailments from these again arise many troubles,     Lust is counterpart of wind,    inordinate Greed corresponds to an abundance of phelms,    while Anger represents bile which constantly burns the beast,   should all these three combined results in Sannipat that derangement of the aforesaid three humours, causing fever,      craving for the manyfold pleasures of senses, difficult to realize, are various distempers, too numerous to name,    feeling of mineness corresponds to ringworm,    envy represents itches while JOY and GRIEF corresponds to the diseases of throat that enlargement of glands    grudging contemplation of other's happiness represents consumption,    while weakness and perversity of soul corresponds to leprosy,   Egotism is a counterpart of most painful gout,    while hypocrisy, DECEIT, ARROGANCE AND PRIDE corresponds to disease known as Dracontiasis,,,,, thirst of enjoyment represents the most advanced type of dropsy,,,,,, while three types of craving PROGENY RICHES AND HONOR  corresponds to the violent quartan argu, jealousy and thoughtlessness are the two types of fever, there are many more fell diseases, too numerous to mention

The Vedas are compared to the ocean of milk, spiritual wisdom plays the role of mount Mandara, while saints are the gods who chum out nectar in the form of the sacred legends, and devotion represents its sweetness,

Using dispassion as a shield for the self defence, and slaying with the sword of wisdom enemies in the form of vanity, greed and infatuation, 

It is devotion to Sri Hari that triumphs, ponder and realize this, O king of birds, Garuda further submitted in loving tones, if you cherish fondness for me, my gracious master, kindly recognize me to be your servant and answer me the following Seven questions, 

Please tell me that which form of all is most difficult to obtain, next tell me briefly which is greatest misery and again which is the highest pleasure, please describe the innate essentials of a Saint, and please also tell me the highest religious merit, and please what is the most terrible sin, TELL ME IN UNAMBIGUOUS TERMS THE DISEASES OF THE MIND,

The saints are the expert mineralogists and their pertaining intellect, the pickaxe, while spiritual wisdom and dispassion are the two eyes for surveying the mines, any creature who looks for it with faith and succeeds in discovering this gem of devotion, that a mine of blessings, 

I have this conviction in my heart that servant of Rama is greater than Sri Rama himself, while Sri Rama is the ocean and wise saints are rain clouds, while Sri Hari is sandal tree, saints represents the winds, devotion to Sri Hari, which is so delightful, is reward of all spiritual endeavors,

None has ever secured it except through a saint, realizing this whoever cultivates the fellowship of saints finds devotion to Sri Rama easy of attainment, O king of the birds,

The ocean of transmigration cannot be crossed without cultivating the same feeling of Sri Rama as a servant cherished towards his master, knowing this to be an established doctrine, adore the lotus feet of Rama that can make animate to inanimate and inanimate to animate, soul that adore such an omnipresent Lord are blessed,

Bhusandi Said, I have expounded the established doctrine relating to Gnosis, hear now the virtue of devotion like a jewel, indeed wish yielding gem an embodiment of supreme effulgence that sheds its radiance day and night, requiring neither a vessel nor clarified butter nor a wick, He in those heart, such a jewel abides is not haunted by poverty in the shape of infatuation, 

No blast of greed can ever extinguish this light, which dispels the overpowering gloom of ignorance and the swarms of mouths keep away in a mood of frustration, vicious propensities like lust dare not to approach him in whose heart the gem of devotion abides, for him venom is transformed into ambrosia and enemies turn into friends, nobody can attain happiness without this jewel,

Again, he is never attacked by the terrible mental diseases from which all living beings are grievously suffering, He in whose heart the gem of devotion to Sri Ram abides cannot have the least woe even in dream, they alone are paragons of wisdom in this world, who spare no pain to secure this gem, although this jewel is manifest in the world, none can find it without the grace of Sri Rama,

But this supreme state of the final beatitude is most difficult to attain, so declare by the saints as well as Puranas, Vedas and Agamas, , By worshipping Sri Rama, the same unsolicited even against our will, 

Water cannot stay except on land notwithstanding our best efforts, even so, mark you, the joy of final beatitude cannot stay apart from devotion to sri Hari, 

Realizing this, the wise devotees spurn that emancipation and remain enamoured of devotion, which is root cause of metempsychosis , is eradicated without any effort or extension, 

In the same way as we eat for our own gratification but the gastric fire digest the food so eaten without any effort of our part, what fool is there who does not welcome such devotion to Sri Hari, which is so easy and delightful at the same time,

When the light of wisdom is thus extinguished, the soul then goes again through the manifold agonies of transmigration,

Sri Hari's deluding potency is most difficult to cross, it can not easily be crossover, 

Gnosis is difficult to expound, difficult to grasp and difficult to achieve through practice,

And if by chance one succeeds in attaining it, there many impediments in the way of preserving it, the Path of wisdom is like the edge of a sword, one is opt to fall from it very soon, he alone who successfully treads it attain to the supreme state of final emancipation,

By artifice, force or fraud they approach her

 Jai Sri Ram,

By artifice, force or fraud they approach her and put off the light by fanning it with the end of their garment, if Buddhi happens to be most sagacious, she refuses even to look at them considering them to be her enemies,

If these impediments falls to distract her, the gods next proceed to create trouble, the various apertures of the body that locate the five senses are so many windows in the chamber of the heart, each of which is presided over by the god, even as they find the gust of sensuality entering the chamber of gods wantonly throw the shutters of these apertures wide open,

As soon as the blast penetrate the chamber of heart the light of immediate knowledge gets extinguished, in this way while the ligature binding the spirit with matter remains united, the light of self realization also disappears and the understanding gets bewildered when buffeted by the blast of sensuality, 

Gnosis is welcome neither to the senses nor the gods presiding over them, who are ever fond of sensuous enjoyments, and the Buddhi too having been distracted by the blast of sensuality, who can light the lamp again as before,

The constant awareness that I am the Same Brahma , represents the most dazzling flame of the lamp,

In this way when the bliss of self realization sheds its bright lustre, error of duality, the root of worldly existence is dispersed and the infinite darkness of infatuation, which forms the family of nescience disappears,

Having thus procured a light, the Buddhi that intellect, referred to above sits in the chamber of the heart to untie the knots, 

The soul can hope to attain its object only in the event of Buddhi succeeding in untying it, but when Maya finds her attempting to untie the knot, she creates many difficulties, she send forth number of Riddhis and Siddhis that riches and supernatural powers that try to excite her cupidity,

Let us hope, when she united with her newly born calf in the form of Love, Quietism serves as the cord by which her hind legs are tied, in order to milk her, faith represents the pot in which the cow is milked, while a pure mind, which is at one's beck and call, plays the role of milker, on the fire of desirelessness,

When boiled, it should be cooled down with the breath of contentment and forbearance and congealed by maxing with it a little curd in the shape of fortitude and mind control, the curd thus made should be churned in the earthen vase of cheerfulness with the churning stick of reflection after fastening the stick to the host of self restraint with cord of truthful and agreeable words, and b this process of churning one should extract the pure, excellent and holy butter of dispassion, 

After kindling the fire of Yoga that concentration of mind, both good and evil, should be consigned to it as fuel, and the butter placed on it, when the scum in the form of worldly attachment is burnt, the Ghee that clarified butter is left to the form of Gnosis should be cooled down by intellect that buddhi a truth of reasoning, which is nature of understanding, should fill with it the Lamp pf Citta, reasoning faculty, and making a stand of even mindedness set lamp securely there, 

Extracting cotton in the form of the transcendental state of the boll of the three states, consciousness in waking, dream and dreamless sleep, these three modes of Prakrati Including Satva, Rajas and Tamas, the same should be carded and fashioned into a strong wick, in this manner one should light the glorious lamp of immediate knowledge, by merely approaching which moths in the shape of vanity are consumed,

Milk began to flow from her teats,

 Jai Sri Ram,

Listen, Garuda, to this unuttered romance, which can only be comprehended by the mind but is incapable of expansion, Soul is particle of divinity, immortal, conscious, unattained by Maya and blissful by nature, Such a soul has allowed itself to be dominated by Maya and has been caught in its own trap like a parrot or a monkey, 

Matter and spirit have been linked together with a knot which, though imaginary, is difficult to untie, since then the soul has become worldly, it can have no happiness till this knot is untied,

The Vedas and Puranas have suggested a number of devices for untying the knot, but the knot, far from being resolved, becomes harder and harder, the interior of the soul being utterly clouded with darkness of ignorance, the knot cannot even be perceived, how, then, can it be untied,

If God were to bring about such conditions, even then the disentangled of the knot is problematic, suppose by the grace of Sri Hari the blessed cow in the shape of Japa, austere penance, sacred observances, the Yamas, Niyama or forms of self restraint, that five Niyama or positive virtues and innumerable other blessed virtues and religious practices recommended by Vedas, Milk began to flow from her teats,

Here I do not speak in a partisan spirit, but merely state the view of the Vedas and Puranas, a woman is never enamoured of another woman's beauty, is a strange phenomenon, 

Maya and Bhakti, mark me, both belongs to feminine group, as everyone knows, again, Bhakti is beloved od Rama, while Maya is mere dancing girl, Ram is well disposed towards Bhakti, hence Maya terrible afraid of her, 

Maya shrinks at the very sight of the man in whose heart ever abides Bhakti, unobstructed the peerless and guileless spirit of devotion, and cannot weird her authority over him, Knowing this, sages who have realized the truth solicit Bhakti, which is the fountain of all blessings, 

No one can speedily know this secret of Rama, but whoever comes to know it by the grace of Rama, can never fail a prey to infatuation even in dream, further hear, most sagacious Garuda, the distinction between gnosis and devotion, by hearing which one develops perpetual and uninterrupted love for Sri Rama,

Maya that manifest in the form of a woman,

 Jai Sri Ram,

They who knowingly cast aside such devotion and take pains to acquire mere wisdom are fools who would leave alone the cow of plenty at their own house and knock about in search of Aka plant, the milk weed, to get milk out of it, The fools who ignore Bhakti and seek happiness by any other means stupidly seek to swim across the ocean without the help of vessel, 

Garuda Rejoiced to hear Bhusandi's words and submitted in gentle accents, by your grace, my lord, doubt and sorrow, error and delusion have disappeared from my heart, I have also listened to the praise of Sri Rama, and attained peace of mind by your grace, my lord I ask you one question more, pray, explain the whole thing clearly, O ocean of compassion, the saints and the sages as well as the Vedas and Puranas declare that there is nothing so difficult of attainment as wisdom,  

Although the Sage Lomesha instructed you in the same, you did not show the same amount of regard for gnosis as for devotion, explain me all the difference between Gnosis and Devotion, the sagacious crow was gratified to hear the question of Garuda, and politely replied, there is no difference between the two, both are equally efficacious in relieving the torments of birth and death, great sages nonetheless point out some difference between the two, listen the same with rapt attention, 

Wisdom, dspassion, Yoga and realization, markme, are all masculine in conception, the might of man is formidable indeed, while a woman is naturally weak and dull by her very birth, but the man alone who is unattached and resolute of mind can forswear woman, not the sensual voluptuary, who has turned his face against the feet of Sri Rama, but even such an enlighten sage, succumbs, to the charm of pretty women at the very sight of her moon like face, it is God Vishnu's own Maya that manifest in the form of a woman,

efficacy of Adoration,

 Jai Sri Ram,

I love this body only because it was in this body that devotion to Sri Rama's feet sprang up in my heart,

I was blessed with the sight of my lord and all my doubts vanished,

I stubbornly upheld the cause of devotion, for which the great sage Lomasa cursed me,

But eventually I obtained a boon which is difficult even for sages to obtain I witness the efficacy of Adoration,
